History[]
Bother And Sister Reincarnated Arc[]
At the beginning of the story, after the protagonist's parents died in a car accident around the same time as graduating high school, they were confined at home by their sister for five years. While being imprisoned, they lived in a state of unconsciousness, witnessing the brutal torture and death of people their sister had abducted right in front of them.
One day, when the sister stepped out for a while and the protagonist realized the door was open, they escaped from the house for the first time in five years, enjoying the happiness of being free without their sister. However, they were soon pursued and faced the danger of being locked up again, but ultimately both died after being hit by a truck. In the comic, at that moment, the protagonist pushes their sister onto the road to kill her as a truck passes by, but she takes their hand, and together they are struck by the truck with a crazed expression on her face.
After death, they meet a cursed god. The god tells them that those who do not live happily have the right to receive blessings in the next life and that the sister who died alongside them will also be reincarnated in the same world. Hearing this, the protagonist, Jack, despairs, but the god becomes Jack's ally and helps him to escape and hide from his sister. The newly reincarnated Jack is now a writer in the Lieber County of the Kingdom of Reis. He vows this time to escape from his sister and live a happy life.
At nine months old, he mastered spirit Arts. With the spirit arrangement ranked 65th, "Sublime Parting Andrealphus," he gained the ability to nullify the weight of anything that touches himself and his body. After awakening his spirit Arts, he practiced and played with wooden blocks and spent time playing with the Lieber family's maid, Anelli.
The day after his first birthday party, while going for a walk with Anelli, he fell asleep after hearing her mention that she planned to spend the upcoming holiday with family members he hadn’t seen in a long time. After a while, he woke up to the familiar melody of a song, realizing that Anelli was excited about a song his sister used to sing often. At that moment, Anelli's words pierced his mind for the first time.

"It's been 15 years - brother! - Anelli"
Jack, in disbelief of reality... Shocked, Jack struggles to move his frozen body and manages to fall, using spirit Arts to escape. However, he realizes that if things continue this way, his family might be taken hostage, so he is careful not to defeat the enemy outright.
In the meantime, Anelli tests whether Jack is worthy of being protected by setting the forest on fire and pursuing him. Jack attempts to drop a rock to kill her, but the rock suddenly stops mid-air, failing. As he escapes, he notices Anelli's hair and infers that the practitioner can easily ignite flames using their body as a medium. He quickly manipulates the air pressure to create wind, launching a fireball at Anelli, and igniting her body. However, Anelli sacrifices her left hand, releasing a powerful burst of flames that extinguishes the fire and captures Jack. He falls into despair but quickly regains his composure, awakening the power of Lust, which carries the essence of the true spirit of "The Sublime Farewell, Andrealphus."
The surrounding land trembles as trees float with various materials, but Anelli, persistently, thrusts out her right foot, blasting away the flames with explosive force. Despite trying to evade by flying into the air, she counters with her shins. Ultimately, Jack, to seal the "Light of Dawn," mercilessly leads Anelli away, throws a rock to distract her, and successfully gathers water from a waterfall to drop all at once, killing her. He is discovered by the servants and his parents, finally managing to survive.
As a side note, in the web serialization, there were no scenes of Anelli using Spirit Arts through her hair or Jack's awakening, but these were added in the book version.
Golden Boyhood Arc[]
Six years have passed since the Anelli incident, and Jack has turned seven. He spends his days training in spirit Arts at the training ground his parents created, aiming to enroll in the Royal Spiritual Arts Academy of the Kingdom of Rainadia. His father, Kalam, sought to help Jack by hiring an excellent teacher through his musical talents, but he was unable to find a teacher suitable for Jack's abilities and eventually gave up, leaving Jack to self-study.
During his training, Kalam calls Jack over to introduce him to the friendly merchant, Cherno Posford. At the request of the adults, Jack visits Cherno's daughter, Philene Posford, and walks around the mansion. However, he hears rumors of a significant number of horses or sightings from the servants, Philene prompting him to leave the mansion and search outside.
As he exits the mansion, he encounters a man in his late teens to early twenties and a woman who appears to be a teenager, pushing a hood. When he inquires, his mother appears, peeking at the two, claiming they are her guests.

Jack's Training
Jack then goes to search for Philene and discovers a mountain rabbit. Upon investigating the surroundings, he finds a hole in the fence. As he goes through the hole into the forest, he suddenly sees a girl fall from a tree and instinctively saves her. This girl turns out to be Philene Posford, whom Jack had come to visit. Philene suggests they return to the mansion, but she finds it foolish and proposes they go play in the fields, introducing herself as Phil, while calling Jack "Ja-kun."
Jack follows Phil to the fields. For a while, Phil runs excitedly but trips over something and falls. Upon closer inspection, Jack realizes it is a person's foot. It belongs to an elf with long blue hair. To check if the elf is alive, Jack tries to grab him, but at that moment, the elf, who is hungry, collapses and is taken back to the mansion by Jack.
Upon arriving at the mansion, the elf, named Raquel, eats an incomprehensible amount of food, amounting to thirty bowls. Kalam hears that Raquel has traveled for eighty years collecting spirit Arts as a "Divine Receptionist of Sphax" and proposes Raquel become Jack's spirit Arts teacher. After observing Jack's talent, Raquel agrees and stays at the mansion to become Jack's master.
Later, Jack undergoes several intense training sessions with Raquel. When Raquel asks why Jack wants to become so strong, Jack replies that it is to uphold what he wants, which does not seem appropriate for his age. After continuing their training, the pen that had been watching grew bored and, like Jack, naturally became Raquel's disciple while training.
One day, while they were going about their tasks, Raquel announced that they would take a break from training the next day for a festival. During the harvest festival, Jack watched a play about the founding myth of the Raes Kingdom and gifted a ribbon to Phil. After a while, Phil came to pick him up, and returning to the festival, Jack ended up participating in a drinking contest and was dragged into listening to Raquel's lamentations and travel stories while he was drunk.
One day, after a rigorous training session, Raquel said he would give a gift to become stronger the next day. They also heard news from their father and Raquel about the recently active band of thieves called "Crimson Cat." Since the situation was serious, they were advised to be cautious and not go outside the mansion at night and remain vigilant even during the day. That day, Raquel took a bath with Phil, and at Phil's suggestion, the three of them decided to sleep together. As Raquel fell asleep, Jack and Phil agreed to give Raquel a gift.
The next day, when Raquel was in a hurry and said they wouldn't carry out their morning activities, Jack and Phil went out to buy a gift. However, on their way back after buying a headpiece, they were attacked by a mysterious figure and fell, only to find themselves trapped in a narrow prison with about ten other children.
After a while, the leader of the thieves, Vicky, and his remaining subordinates came to conduct a "showcase," saying they would play "casino" with Jack, Phil, and a man named Benny from the prison. Benny cried and pleaded, saying he didn't want to play casino. Vicky used Spirit Arts to blow the boy away. However, Jack intentionally provoked Vicky to analyze the spirit Arts and tried to match up against it, but he couldn't grasp the exact details. Still, using Phil's spirit Arts, "Dictionary of No Decision," he sent a bird to the mansion to request rescue and calm the children down. For a while, Jack, Phil, and Benny were taken from the underground to the surface by Vicky and his subordinates. There, they discovered the true nature of the "casino," which was to break human watermelons.

After the Vicky gang had some fun with a wild boar, they designated Benny for the next roulette, prompting Benny to try to escape by walking backward. However, when Vicky pushed Benny and he hid in the bushes, Jack saw Benny instantly transported to the torture squad about 6 to 7 meters away and realized that Vicky's spirit Arts created a wormhole, "Vascular Collapse." Just as the thieves were about to start the game with Benny using a hand axe, Phil manipulated a dying wild boar with one leg using spirit Arts to create a disturbance, after which Jack and Phil joined forces to escape with Benny and pulled out the iron spear from the prison window that appeared on the ground. After bringing out the remaining children and calming them down, they decided to escape as quickly as possible.
Using Phil's spirit Arts to control a mouse for reconnaissance within the fortress, they realized that the thieves were using some kind of color-based technique to find them whenever they encountered Vicky. Additionally, seeing Benny's suspicious behavior and an unnatural room that didn't match the map and size, they figured out the trick and were left with just Phil to confront Vicky.
However, after putting on the knuckle and creating multiple exits for the "Ischemia of the Joint," Vicky began to attack and ended up knocking Phil out, losing her gender in the process. However, while Vicky was speaking, she mistakenly said, "I must finish the processing and hand it over to 'her' by dawn," realizing that she was doing this at someone else's request.
Just before collapsing from being processed, countless eagles in the sky dropped a single sword, which was so heavy that it created a crater in the remaining land. The black color, which was the same at dawn and dusk, was said by Vicky to be made from the heaviest metal, Hihi'irokane. Jack realized that the sword was a gift from Raquel, raised it, and fought Vicky, ultimately winning. After the battle, Raquel came and gave Jack and Phil the ribbon they wanted to present as a gift. Around that time, a man on the fortress roof shot an arrow at Jack, but he used spirit techniques to survive safely.
Shockingly, right after Jack defended himself, the man shot himself in the head with the arrow through his mouth. Not only that but days later, it was revealed that the extermination team investigated and found that all 33 members of the "Crimson Cat" bandit group, including Vicky, had committed suicide. This mysterious incident led to a decree from Jack's father, Kalam, but rumors spread that Jack and Phil had destroyed the bandit group.
'Shindon Assembly Arc[]
A year after the "Crimson Cat" was wiped out, the rumors spread to the royal road Rainadia, and a scout came to Jack at the Royal Academy of Spiritual Arts. Initially, they set the condition at level 3, but after Kalam proposed to see Jack and Phil's training site, they immediately raised it to level 2 and scouted Phil and Raquel as teachers. Jack had originally wanted to attend the academy, but he decided to enroll because going to the royal road might provide clues about "her," which he heard from Vicky.
Thus, at the age of 9, he went to take the entrance exam, but hearing that there weren’t many students who entered through scouting, he and Phil became a bit anxious. They received advice from Raquel and Kalam, saying, "The academy is a world where no one praises you just for attending; it's natural to have talent. Being a genius is common."
Later, when they had to take the exam and go to the martial arts arena, they lost their way. Trying to look from above, they stepped into a spacious window on the second floor of a building, where a girl with red hair was changing clothes. The girl was startled and shot a fireball at Jack, but he dodged and wasn't hurt much. They both acknowledged their mistakes and reconciled, even making a declaration of peace. Her name was Azelea Austin, and she was also a new student like Jack and his group. While Phil and Jack sometimes panicked when they saw her, they managed to handle it well, talked about their master, gave advice, and borrowed Gantu to express their thoughts.
Well, Jack and his group arrived safely at the arena. However, Raquel advised Jack not to show the power of Lust to others once he enrolled. The reason for this is that Lust is a presence much larger than one might think, capable of affecting national power, and there is no telling what one might get involved in because of it. If that happens, Raquel cannot guarantee how much he can protect Jack. As a result, Jack is also prohibited from using the Sword of Dawn that he received from Raquel during the Vicky-Jon.
Jack's group observes the matches of other examinees to get a feel for the exam atmosphere, and they end up watching Ruby Bergson, a student of the 8th-Dan Hozea Bergson, take her first Level 3 exam.
While Ruby is in the midst of her tense exam, Jack becomes bored watching her perform a persimmon-like act to mislead her opponent into thinking they landed an attack… But that is just the prologue, as they also watch a match featuring Gawain McDonnell, who boasts an impenetrable defense, and Azelea, who opens up reverse compatibility. When it becomes Jack's turn, he stops his opponent's attack with his hand and swiftly defeats them with high-speed movement, dominating the arena.
After that, they watch a match featuring Elvis Kuntz Windsor, known as the "Genius Prince." He utterly annihilates his opponent and wins easily. In any case, Jack shows excellent performance and is placed in the S-Class, which only occurs when exceptionally outstanding students enroll, happening only once every few years. By the way, Phil is in the A-Class and decided to share a room with Jack.
The next day, after entering S-Class and chatting playfully with his classmates, the academy's principal and homeroom teacher, Tula Chris, along with her husband Clive and Raquel, who has become a burden, enter the room. They listen to an explanation about the urgent rank battle system that day and have a barbecue party in the evening. Through the barbecue party, Jack becomes closer with the S-Class members + Phil while also deciding to raise a cat that intrudes midway.
At this time, Jack and Elvis propose to each other to confirm that they have both grown stronger. It is precisely about proving that if one can defeat someone they consider strong (Jack and Elvis), it proves they are undoubtedly strong.
After Elvis's first rotation, they head to the martial arts arena at night for clues regarding Elvis's spirit techniques. They are ambushed by Ruby along the way, but with his unique insight, Jack sees through Ruby's cheat and forms a cooperative relationship. With the newly acquired clues and those from the last match, they can also predict that Elvis would likely attack using pressure. Here, Jack further asks Ruby to spread any information to the other Level 2 students.
Elvis's two rotations, as soon as the opponent begins, rush in and attempt close combat, avoiding all attacks with eyes closed, declaring war on Jack. Jack also reciprocates in the same way with the Sword of Dawn, believing there is information that Elvis wants to hide, seen through the giant "eye" of the time-space during the battle with Elvis.
After that, to gather information, he asks Azelea to go to the underground storage of the academy library to search for information. In the midst of this, he saves the obvious Azelea who is pinned under a falling bookshelf, discovering the secret library and finding information about Elvis's spirit techniques. However, Azelea, who was shocked by the Ruby vs. Wayne battle, did not take the act of seeking information lightly, thinking it was digging behind others, and Jack was unable to find the right words and parted ways as is.
During the seven matches, he recorded an undefeated record with Elvis, confirming a confrontation in the eighth rotation. Azelea was saddened, wondering if she could return to her previous relationship after Jack and Elvis fought, but Jack requested her to come see the match directly, believing such thoughts would disappear when she witnessed it. Booking a sleeve attachment lecture with Ruby was just a bonus.
On the morning of the decisive day, Jack meets Elvis in the classroom, and they drift around each other. The following is part of that content. While they both desire strength, it shows that they differ in various aspects for different reasons.
In the urgent battle with Elvis, Jack does not win by compatibility but shows a complete strategy by avoiding Elvis's attacks without hindering them with spirit techniques to create a surefire method. Then he takes the offensive, but Elvis responds with the curtain dance he previously showcased. However, due to numerous bats, Elvis has no choice but to cease information gathering using the "Eye of the King," and in that gap, Jack attacks with the Sword of Dawn, but it is blocked by the mirage sword, which is merely several spleens. While painting in such a way, they fiercely battle, using spirit techniques only in the instant their swords clash, but when the curtain falls. In the final moment, Jack pretends to advance towards the painting while secretly stealing the pendant, causing Elvis's spirit techniques to instantly cease, allowing Jack to finish and claim victory.
Summarizing some of the factors that contributed to this victory, it roughly goes like this:
- On the first day, of watching Elvis's match, he collaborates with Phil to maneuver Cat Kyo, realizing there is a routine of continuously visiting Elvis to place the pendant in the left chest pocket.
- After Elvis's first rotation, he learns from the clues gathered in the martial arts arena that it is an air pressure attack.
- Spreading rumors among the second-year students that Elvis is weak before approaching, he learns of the existence of the "Eye of the King."
- Seeing Elvis trying to hide the "Eye of the King," he thinks there must be a weakness and researches Elvis's spirit techniques in detail in the secret library.
- Based on the information researched in point 4, he grows the version significantly so that many people come to watch the urgent battle with Elvis, while Phil handles the "Eye of the King" by maneuvering the bats.
- He is taught the slip technique by Ruby.
After the urgent battle ends, a fierce Tula hosts a banquet, and a commotion arises as Azelea, moved by the match, hears proclamations, but Jack avoids the chaos and visits Elvis to discuss the "her" mentioned by Vicky and the mysterious end of the band of thieves. Then Elvis informs him about the ill-reputed Lavinia and the evil spirit master guild, promising to cooperate as far as his power reaches.
Battle of the British Kings Arc[]
After the exhibition match between Elvis and Tula, and the declaration of the return of the British king, Elvis cordons off Lavinia to gather the royalists securely. Jack agrees to obtain information on Bifrons and successfully infiltrates the mansion with the help of Ruby.

However, he gets trapped in the maze at night due to Aaron's interference. Initially, the maze had no restrictions on life, so he dies and revives multiple times. After clearing it, he successfully steals Lavinia's human trafficking documents. Then Aaron appears again, raising the difficulty further, and after finally defeating the tentacle monster Paraball and Paragant, he manages to escape and steal the documents. During the process of breaking through the maze, Jack's human emotions seem to have somewhat faded, revealing an unstable state, contrasting with the visible state of his spirit. Seeing this, Elvis remarks that it's "strange" and "scary," pointing out Jack's unusual demeanor.
In preparation for the British King's battle, Elvis trains with new techniques and secretly engages in dangerous activities that anger Raquel, but in turn, he argues that he has learned spirit arts to protect "important people," including Raquel, showcasing one of the few dare scenes of Raquel in the story. Later, in a moment matching Phil's sudden breathlessness, he even proposes and boasts to the S-class personnel without intending to brag. On the day of the British King's battle, Elvis builds plans not only for the battle itself but also to apprehend Lavinia as a criminal. He also meets S-class master, Prince Edwards Windsor, who possesses around 8-9 ranks of power.
Finally, the opening ceremony begins, and due to the overwhelming number of participants, Tula declares that it will start as a survival battle and determine the British king through a tournament. Suddenly, the venue flickers, and "Demon King Bifrons" clearly declares over the broadcast that the British King's battle will be seized by the "Demon Sorcerer Guild." Not only that, but the academy is already sealed off, and the bloodless formation has been erased, declaring death. Finally, he instructs everyone in the venue to pay attention to the center, where they find Tula's corpse, which had just explained the rules, impaled and dead.
From the next chapter, as per Bifrons' declaration, a table of contents and a list of characters will emerge, marking the beginning of the academy's massacre arc.
Soon, numerous monsters appear, attacking people. Jack and the S-class team meet with their parents, but they also hear the news of Lavinia, Edwards, and Meiji Southall's group suicide. They quickly devise a plan to seek help from their masters, but they find that the masters are already dead, hanging from the ceiling, with their necks torn apart and separated from their bodies.
Azelea, Ruby, and Gawain visit the presumed broadcasting room where Bifrons was broadcasting, driven by a desire for revenge after witnessing their cruelly dead master. There, they find the broadcasting teacher Amabel Bate still held hostage by a student named Emily O'Hara. The group rushes to stop Emily, but when cornered, she shouts, "Our lives are for the love of the evil spirit king!" and deliberately steps away from the railing to her death. Moreover, Amabel disappears for a while, leaving behind a one-eyed board, searching for her, only to hear the melody of "10,000 Feet of Alps," which his sister enjoyed singing in a past life. Jack, shocked to hear the song of his sister whom he killed, chases after the pit mark, only to discover Amabel's head impaled on a candlestick after going a while. Overwhelmed by the sight of the powerless, dead Amabel, he reflects on the people he watched die in front of him during his five years of captivity and realizes that his sister's nightmare has not ended, leaving him in despair.
Later, Jack, who received the key to the barrier room from Rachel, heads to the underground of the old watchtower with his colleagues to restore the lethal nullification barrier. However, while flying with his independent wings, Jack and his group scatter in three directions after being hit by a mage's mace. Jack, who flew with Elvis, lands safely at the entrance of the old watchtower using his independent combat wings and easily defeats the evil spirit mage Guildwan, who was swinging the mace. After that, he accompanies Elvis and breaks through the trial labyrinth but gets caught in a gas mage's trap, paralyzing his whole body and leading to his kidnapping by an unidentified girl. With his hands still shackled, Jack partially loses his mind and starts hearing the voice of the girl in front of him...
"…………Big Brother…………"
― Hearing the voice, Jack's trauma activates, causing him to make a sound, and he completely loses his mental state.
Afterward, he awakens to the voice calling him, and in front of him is Phil, who came to save Jack. In a dream-death dream, Jack asks Phil where the "devil" is, but Phil, embarrassed, reveals that the men who kidnapped Jack are the twin brothers, Benny and Beanie, who were with him when Jack was abducted by thieves. They kidnapped Jack because they wanted to show their grown-up selves to him and Phil, and the voice saying "brother" was merely Beanie singing for Benny. Upon learning the truth, Jack trembles, punishing himself for the shadow of his sister and ironically mocking himself for being saved by the child he wanted to protect the most. Ignoring Phil's voice calling him and sinking into a sense of powerlessness, Jack suddenly grabs Phil's face and regains his mental clarity. Phil looks at Jack and says he truly loves him, but Jack weakened to the point of being fragile, denies that this is his true self. However, up until now, he had lost his mind to Phil's smile and quietly listened to Phil's words. Phil reveals that he knew all along that Jack was not just a wonderful man and that the truth always trembles with anxiety, and he speaks from the heart that such a Jack is the best in the world. Saved by those words, Jack hugs Phil tightly, feeling a surge of warmth, and begins to tell Phil everything about his sister from his previous life in another world. After calming down a bit, Jack reveals the name of the charter to Phil.
Afterward, Jack, who had fully regained his mental state thanks to Phil, defeats and denies Benny and Beanie, who had harbored misguided admiration for him, thus plunging them into despair. Jack places his hand on the heads of the screaming, tearful twins. He thought they might be splattered with something, but the twins only shed tears without any flames. Later, he reunites with Azelea, but lying next to her are the twins, who are crying and sleeping, along with Aron, who is lying unconscious. After that, Jack and Phil leave the unconscious people in Azelea's care and enter the barrier room together.
Upon entering the barrier room, they discover a woman lying on an altar and the spirit arrangement ranked 55th, "Faithful Padlock, Orobas." They approach her to investigate the situation of the barrier...
Catastrophe Point[]
Suddenly, Phil rushes to the altar, stabs her with a knife, and neutralizes the barrier. Then, in the expression and manner of speaking of his sister, he addresses her as "~brother." Unable to catch up with the sudden turn of events, he angrily denies reality, wondering where the real Phil is, but the opponent summons a huge tree made of bones from the floor, moving the location.
When he jumps up to pursue the opponent and emerges above ground, his mind goes blank at the sight of a human killing another human in a horrific scene. He learns from Raquel, who discovers him, that the spirit Arts of the evil spirit king Bifrons controls corpses as if they were alive, and the true objective is to open the barrier. Raquel tries hard to convince him that Bifrons entered the barrier room with Jack and killed the sorcerer, but Jack refuses to accept this fact and runs off. While experiencing confusion and searching for his parents with worry, he discovers the craftsman Cherno Posford and approaches him, only to see a familiar figure bleeding and repeating broken robotic words while swinging an axe. Denying the sight of his acquaintance before him, Jack escapes reality and finds comfort in hearing his parents' voices, but what appears before him are his parents casually conversing while strangling him.
With no choice but to accept reality, Jack takes it upon himself to dispatch the corpses that were once his parents, still enveloped in anger and hatred, heading towards the giant skeletal tree where his sister is. After a while, he faces his sister, who appears as Phil, once again on the skeletal land away from the ground. She explains that the reason for this situation is simply because she did not like the development and wanted to reset all human relationships by killing those around Jack. Shocked by her treating human lives like a game switch being turned off, Jack asks when his parents had become corpses, only to learn that they had already been corpses right after he and Philene first met. Realizing that his family had already died while he was trying to protect his loved ones, Jack screams in despair, questioning why they had to die, charging at her with murderous intent.
His sister creates a skeletal barrier to defend against his attacks, but as Jack swings his sword with the sole intent of killing her, the skeletal defense crumbles, creating an opening. However, when he sees Phil's face through the wall, his mind fills with the thought that Phil is here, causing him to lose focus and drop his sword. He calls out Phil's name and approaches his sister to hug her, but unable to tolerate being called by another woman's name, she stabs Jack in the abdomen with a bone, inflicting serious injury.
Angry that she is not Phil, his sister continues to kick him, becoming a divine spear, yet he does not stop calling her Phil, ignoring the reality that they usually just quarrel. Then, his sister shakes the skeletal spear, but as Jack's consciousness fades, he finally realizes that the dream is ending and closes his eyes without any resistance.
However, suddenly someone intrudes and envelops Jack, who, being cautious, sees his father, Kalam Lieber, who was supposed to be a corpse, smiling at him with bones still embedded in him. Immediately after that, his sister, while being a hindrance, tries to attack their father, attempting to carve up the corpse so thoroughly that she cannot recognize it. Faced with reality once again, Jack realizes that she is not Phil, and, feeling hatred and anger once more, rushes to her and strangles her. No matter how much his sister resists and pulls at his legs, Jack continues to repeat the words, "You are not Phil," like a curse, not loosening his grip, but in a moment of unconsciousness, his hand relaxes just enough for her to leave him with a smile and hear her last words.
"...Beauty, ...no, ...what... is... it..."
Right after hearing those words, a voice escapes from her throat, and Jack releases his grip, but she does not move any further. Looking down at her, Jack experiences a mental breakdown as he realizes that the girl he killed with his own hands is Phil, the one he loves the most, a thought he should not remember. Immediately after Phil's death, the movements of the corpse manipulated by Bifron cease, and the academy is covered in skeletal remains. Jack, lost in thought, hugs Phil in the middle of a pure white world and is discovered by Raquel.
"Should I believe? Should I believe in anyone anymore? I don't know who that demon is in this world. Now. No one. To love or to see――――"
― Jack Lieber, pure hatred and distrust. (Light Novel Vol. 3)
Raquel, blaming himself for not being able to protect his two disciples, hugs Jack, but Jack shakes Raquel off forcefully. Raquel then realizes, upon seeing Jack's vacant gaze, that he has become a person who trusts no one.
The Causal Demon Arc[]
Four years after the academy collapse, Jack inherits the title of count and the territory of Dediamkuld on behalf of his deceased parents, demonstrating exceptional skill in defending the territory even amid deteriorating public safety. He finds the so-called 'scientists' who receive hordes across various regions and turns them into Sinha, extracting their abilities to develop the civilization of Dediamkuld. Meanwhile, he absorbs remnants of the evil spirit Artsian guild through chains, worsening public safety and causing chaos in various countries to buy time.
- Four years after the collapse of the Royal Academy, the country declares independence from the Kingdom of Raes and establishes a wealthy, independent, and self-governing nation through spiritism.
- Five years after the collapse of the Royal Academy, Jack calls himself the Demon King of the Sky Spirits and begins to abduct Lusts in various locations.
- Seven years after the collapse of the Royal Academy, Jack having turned the world against him, invades the Kingdom of Row, demanding the surrender of Helmina von Row, the princess and Lust of the Kingdom.
In the second war, while invading the Row Kingdom, he is attacked by Raquel, who appears in Dediamkuld. Abilities[]
"My name is Jack Lieber. The first son of Count Kalam Lieber, Dediamkuld in the Kingdom of Reis. I can't let it shatter, like with my old family!"
― Jack Lieber (Manga Vol. 1)
He eldest son of the Leiber Count family. In his previous life, he was an ordinary boy in Japan, but after his parents' traffic accident, his sister began to confine him. After a desperate escape, he was hit by a truck and reincarnated in another world. Because of this, he instinctively fears his sister and is tormented by a sense of powerlessness for not being able to save the people close to him who were brutally murdered before his eyes. Due to the pity of a goddess for his circumstances, he was granted the right to be born with a beautiful appearance, and top-tier abilities, and into a wealthy family. His life there is the ordinary happiness he had always desired, and he dedicates himself to honing his abilities to maintain his peace.

65th rank Spirit "Andrealphus"
When he was a baby, he awakened to the spirit ranked 65th, "The Sublime Farewell,
Andrealphus," with the spirit art "Wings of Departure," which manipulates gravity. It was revealed that he is a "Spirit's Perch (Boost)" capable of exerting 100 percent of his abilities. He can nullify the gravity of objects he touches and even float in the air. While it requires concentration, it can also be used on liquids. The effects of mass reduction occur precisely, so if he floats, a slight wind can blow him away, and while he can launch floating objects at opponents, they do not carry any impact upon hitting, necessitating clever timing to deactivate his ability.
Spirit Array No. 65: "The Sublime Farewell, Andrealphus
" = (The Combat Benefit of Independence). It can generally be seen as a spirit technique that eliminates the weight of objects. It's difficult to express accurately, but it feels like separating an object from the world itself. When an object is levitated, it ignores physical laws such as gravity, pressure, and inertia. As one becomes more skilled, the duration, range, and weight capacity increase. The usual limit for weight that can be eliminated is around 1 ton, but since Jack is a fragment manifestation of Lust
, it seems he has almost no limit. Additionally, when the weight exceeds the caster's limit, the object's weight decreases accordingly, and heavier objects take longer to activate. Later in the series, he learned the "Right Wing: Swallow" a high-speed maneuver, and a jumping in-the-air "Left Wing: Albatross."
It is difficult to expect significant firepower from this spirit technique in terms of offense, but it excels in defense; by eliminating one's weight or the weight of an opponent's weapon, it becomes nearly invulnerable to everything except rare elements like fire or poison gas. To break through this, one must target the very brief moment when the attack is completely unrecognized or the moment between recognizing the attack and chanting the spirit technique. To use it offensively, one can only release the spirit technique at the moment of swinging a heavy object to strike the opponent, or it can be applied to super-fast movement, it is a concept for the enema of "Freedom."
"I hate that kind of thing…! Because I can't do anything… I'm helpless… incompetent… I hate not being able to protect... I hate it so much!"
― Jack Lieber (Manga Vol. 1)
However, while it is true that due to the Lust buff, reincarnation memories, and immense effort, Jack is one of the stronger characters in the work, it does not mean he is the absolute strongest. This reflects the limits of the Combat Benefit of Independence; many spirit techniques are significantly stronger, though they are not widely known. Just looking at the "Unnecessary Tin," the Lustful Hermina can produce metal infinitely. If one goes a bit further, there are many so-called cheat abilities like the highest peak of reasoning, ability nullification, time leaf, teleportation, future prediction, illusion, reincarnation, and reality manipulation, all possessed by different characters. Considering even heroes who are strong enough to seal spirits... by this point, it becomes pitifully unremarkable. The routine is to maneuver blocks with spirit techniques to unify the mind.
Jack received a sword from his master Raquel, a sword that has a morning glow in the blade and on the heaviest metal, Hihi'irokane. The legendary metal that worth 100 times more than gold.
Jack has a transparent sense of justice, good consideration, and a strong desire to win, but there is nothing greatly idiosyncratic about his personality, which is what comes to mind when one thinks of a “hero”. Along with his compliant looks, he seems to have twisted a good number of women in his previous life thanks to it. There was a bit of arrogance behind her talent when she was a child, seeing that she hired various spirit art teachers but never learned. However, after meeting strong men like Raquel and Vicki many times, I don't see much of that. He is a very human personality in many ways.
In his previous life, he suffered strong self-loathing from not being able to protect his acquaintances from suffering, which led to a great deal of repeated regret and a great dislike of human-horse breeds such as his sister's. So after reincarnation, I want to be strong (both physically and mentally) so that I can save those I want to save from this life. This change of heart is often evident in the vicissitudes. Although he and Phil were able to escape enough, he dared to fight Vicky to save children whose names he did not even know, whom he met for the first time at that time, and he also wants to prove that he has become stronger by directly defeating Vicky, who is also a strong enemy in human garbage.
His weakness is the trauma of his sister in his previous life. The level of accidents paralyzes him as soon as only his sister appears. Moreover, the influence of his sister remains after his reincarnation, and not only has he lost most of his memories of his reincarnation, but his mental state is unstable, so although he appears to be much stronger, he is in a more dangerous state than expected. After the death of Phil, his personality changes losing the will to live and having lost his loved ones he was in driving force of his life as the new Demon King.
To become stronger he was trained in martial arts and swordsmanship, because of his previous life knowledge he applied that knowledge to strategy even countering kingdom invaders. Due to the loss of his love, Jack becomes ruthless and he doesn't trust anyone, he collects every fragment of lust in every region and gains more power, but in exchange, he loses his sanity and becomes a tyrant. His power scaled higher than the demon king, he became unstoppable even though Kingdoms were afraid of him.

Background[]
The author, Kyousuke Kamishiro, mentioned that since the suspense elements of "Brave in Hand" were well received, he wanted to write a story centered around suspense from the beginning. As he was writing dark and heavy serious developments, he felt the need to balance his mind by writing a light and cheerful story where just the protagonist and heroine are flirting. This led to the creation of works like "Saikyou Couple no Ichaicha VRMMO Life Onsen Ryokou-hen: Tsunaida Te dake ga Koko ni Aru" and "My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex."
