As the two are confused over their memories and personalities fusing together, Rio decides to live in this new world.
Along with Haruto's memories, Rio awakens an unknown "special power," and it seems that if he uses it well, he can live a better life. But before that, Rio encounters a kidnapping that turns out to be of a princess of the Beltrum Kingdom that he lives in.
After saving the princess, Rio is given a scholarship at the Royal Academy, a school for the rich and powerful. Being a poor orphan in a school of nobles turns out to be an extremely detestable place to be.

Character[]
The protagonist of this work is the reincarnation of Haruto Amakawa, a university student who died in an accident in Japan. The person himself is just a human being in this world, "Rio", and he admits that his memory as Haruto Amakawa is an element and a different person. He is 17 years old as of Volume 23.
Haruto Amakawa
|
Although he was born in the Beltrum Kingdom, his parents' hometown is the Kingdom of Karasuki in the Yagumo region. Because she has Ayame, who was her princess, as her mother, she has an unofficial status as a member of the royal family (however, due to domestic circumstances, she does not have the right to succeed to the throne).
His mother was killed in front of him by Lucius, who had looked after him since his father died when he was young, and he was abandoned in the slums. After that, he lived as a vagrant and survived by sipping muddy water for the sole purpose of revenge, but when he was seven years old, the memory of his previous life suddenly revived. In an incident that occurred while his memories were confused, he accidentally rescued Flora and was allowed to enter the Royal Academy for his achievements and monitoring (in the work, when he entered Rio = 991 sacred calendar). However, due to the social situation where social status is considered absolute, although he showed high ability in academics and swordsmanship, he was scorned by the jealousy and prejudice of other Royal Academy students, and Steard and Alphonse made a mistake during an outdoor exercise before graduation. As a result, Flora is in danger of life and he helps her, but she is falsely accused of assassinating the princess, and she only says goodbye to Celia and escapes. By the way, he has been confessed to and motioned by a noble child who is the same student, but he has a resentment that his pride was hurt by refusing because he judged that it was not realistic considering himself as an orphan and the status of the other party. It seems that it was rare. From then on, he will be known as "Haru" in public, and after being appointed as an honorary knight of the Galwark Kingdom, he will also use the surname "Amakawa".
Immediately after fleeing the Beltrum Kingdom, he was attacked by Latifa, who put a slave collar on him and repelled it. At the same time, she takes her girlfriend who has lost her place to go and visits the village of spirits that was said to be her story of her (although it was actually in the form of getting lost). There, he protected Latifa, a descendant of the Spirit People, and because he harbored a humanoid spirit that was considered sacred in the Spirit Village, he gained the trust of the people of the village and was highly valued. I was given several special magic tools with technical standards and learned various techniques such as spirit arts.
At the age of 14, he visited the Karasuki Kingdom and got acquainted with his father, Zen's relatives, and his mother, Ayame's parents, and their retainers. However, due to an incident he encountered during his stay, he became aware of his desire for revenge against Lucius, who had subconsciously warned him. decide to move on. When Almond is attacked by an army of monsters, he pursues the kidnapped Flora and reunites with Lucius, fatally wounding him. He fought Lucius again with Christina and Flora held hostage, and although he was forced to fight hard, he turned the tide with an attack that imitated Hiroaki's Divine Attire and finally achieved revenge.
At the age of 7, he awakens to the memories of his previous life, and at the same time, he can see magic power and use spirit arts, albeit clumsily. Through his education at the Royal Academy and training at the Spirit Village, he gained the fighting power to defeat Gouki, the strongest samurai in the kingdom, during his stay in the Karasuki Kingdom. His ability to unilaterally defeat Lucius, who was a candidate for the strongest title in the Kingdom of Beltrum, the "King's Sword", made Wraith say "I can't help it".
Based on the knowledge and skills he learned in modern Japan, the Royal Academy, and the Spirit Village, he is now able to do most things by himself, such as carpentry, cooking, sake brewing, pottery, and martial arts. Because it is easy to obtain, there is almost no need to rely on others. From that past, he has a distrust of humans, and perhaps because he doesn't even expect goodwill or goodwill from others, he has a dry side that calmly accepts unreasonable treatment and doesn't even get angry. Even if you are discriminated against or exposed to malice, you handle it so as not to create a storm. He also has the decisiveness to not give up on his actions. Celia analyzes, "Once they become relatives, they are very kind. Deep down, they want to trust people."
Together with Miharu and others, he lives in the "Iwa no Ie" that he inherited from the Spirit Village in the suburbs. He has received several rewards for his numerous achievements, such as being given a mansion in a prime location in Rodania by Restoration and a mansion in the Galwark castle from the Kingdom of Galwark (usually a member of the royal family). It is an exception among exceptions. Upon receiving a request from Charlotte, she teaches swordsmanship to Satsuki and the knights while staying at the mansion within the Galwark royal castle.
Although he mainly uses a sword as a weapon, he has sufficient combat power even with weapons other than swords, such as spears and bare hands. At the Spirit Village, he had a black combat uniform made from Black Wyvern scales and received a magic sword that could amplify his spirit arts. Externally, it pretends that it uses this magic sword's ability to control the wind and strengthen the body with power that is impossible with magic. The disadvantage of having a contract with the spirit of Aishia is that she cannot use magic.

Abilities[]
"Words of gratitude are not enough for the greatest kindness you have bestowed upon my unworthy self. If ever a danger shall befall upon the spirit folk, I vow to assist you as your sworn friend — with my entire being."
― Rio's verbal pledge to Spirit Folks’ elders
In his previous life, Haruto was already a university student before he died. Combined with Rio's knowledge of the new world, Rio is considered multilingual, being able to properly speak Japanese from his past life as Haruto and 3 different languages from the new world: the Strahl tongue, Yagumo, and Spirit language. Although initially illiterate, Rio quickly learned and surpassed his peers in the academy. Rio considered himself to know many things but is a specialist in none despite his friend's protest. Often relying on no one, Rio likes learning by himself about all kinds of things. During his stay in the Yagumo region, Rio shared his knowledge in Yuba's village, drastically increasing the general wealth; he build a bathhouse with a soap, and water-wheel allowing a better irrigation (better harvests mean less death due to famine; several members of Ruri's family die because of the lack of food). The king and queen of Karasuki kingdom (Rio's grandparents) took a great interest in this innovation and project to expand it to the entire kingdom. At the time of his departure, the village is in a better shape, and all the residents are very grateful.
《MARTIAL ARTS》 — From Haruto's memories, Rio inherited his knowledge in «Ancient Martial Arts», which had allowed him to defeat an assassin while having strengthened himself using Spirit Arts. Later on, he further trains himself at Beltrum Kingdom Royal Academy, developing his style, excelling in swordsmanship, giving his instructors a hard time and he's capable of besting the Royal Guard, Charles Arbor, something his fellow competing classmates couldn't do. At 16, Rio became a master swordsman, and many people were impressed by his sword skills. In addition to this, he is skilled in unarmed combat and could stop Takahisa's sword with his bare hands in a duel, shocking Satsuki. | |||||
《SPIRITISM (SPIRIT ARTS)》 — At first, unnamed, Rio could mimic magic principles since he never succeeded in the contract ceremony. Despite not knowing about it, he mastered it to a good extent, learning things such as healing, strengthening, and hypnosis, surprising Ursula. Rio can use all elements and spirit arts.
| |||||
《DIVINE AUTHORITY》 — Rio, as the reincarnation of the Dragon King, possesses an inherent transcendent power called, Annihilation , given to him by the world's true god. This transcendent power is carved into Rio's soul. It's purpose allowed his original self as the Dragon King to fulfill the role given to him by god, to protect the world. This ability allows Rio to erase or nullify anything he deems a threat to existence. Rio first used this ability in volume 20 against the Great Spirit of Earth, another transcendent existence that completely erased both the tsunami of earth and the causality of its damage, making the once obliterated landscape appear as if nothing had ever transpired at all.
|
Due to his original life as the Dragon King (Ryuo), Rio has limitless Odo or magic essence. During his stay at the spirit folk village early in his travels, Dryas checks on Rio's status and feels immediately that he has a huge amount of odo. Later, Aishia tells Celia that Rio's essence is bottomless.
