Sairin Yuusha no Fukushuutan (再臨勇者の復讐譚) is a Japanese light novel series written by Usaki, Usagi. Originally published via the novel posting website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in September 2015, the series was later acquired by Futabasha, which began publishing the series in print with illustrations by Shirakomiso. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Kaede Nitou, began serialization on the Niconico-based web manga platform Gaugau Monster in August 2019.
Synopsis[]
Iori Amatsuki was a high school student summoned to a parallel world and started fighting as a Hero to save the country. As he was trying to save the world, he was killed by his trusted companions.Just when Iori had thought that he had died, he opened his eyes and discovered that he had been summoned again, but this time it was into the future as a Hero to subjugate the demon king that he had failed to defeat before. Then he realizes that deep inside him when he was once the Hero commanding and leading battle, there surfaces in his mind the figure of his companions.
"...I will make them regret betraying me!"
There appeared before Iori who had been driven by hatred a former demon king girl who wished for a similar revenge. On his second coming as a Hero in this world he throws away his ideals, and together with the former demon king he pushes forward for the sake of his revenge.

A high school boy summoned as a hero to the otherworldly Kingdom of Laetitia. As the hero "Amatsu," he embarks on a journey to defeat the Demon King with his friends, and when they corner the Demon King, he loses his life due to the betrayal of his friends Liusas Gilburn and Lucifina Emiliore. He is then summoned back to the world 30 years later. He is furious when he hears the inside story of the betrayal from Ryuzas and decides to take revenge on all the targets who betrayed him. Thirty years ago, he was an honest man with a strong sense of justice.
He is still the same, but he has no mercy for the targets of his vengeance. He has the "proof of a brave man" engraved on his right arm, which contains a great deal of magical power, but most of it has been lost now.

She learns that many humans, subhumans, and demons were involved in the betrayal 30 years ago, and decides to take revenge not only on Ryuzas, but on all those who betrayed her. To regain his former heroic powers, he is transported by magic to a place where he is reunited with Elfiszak, who tells him the circumstances of the battle that took place 30 years ago. Iori learns that Elfiszaak was also betrayed by his fellow demons and has vowed to take revenge even though he has lost his power, so he decides to join forces with Elfiszaak to achieve their mutual goals. |
