Synopsis[]

A long time has passed since the war that involved the entire continent of Mürgenia, and peace, which had maintained a dangerous balance, was about to end. King Reiguru, who defeated Zermine's predecessor five years ago and took the throne, was burning with ambitions to conquer the world. The Zermine army under his command attacked neighboring countries one after another. Among them was the small country Saint Quar. The national power is less than 10% of Zermine, and the morale is not good. Moreover, King Douglas, the current King of Saint-Quire, has lost his heart by giving preferential treatment only to the aristocrats. The destruction of Saint Quar seemed an inevitable fate anymore.

Parallel work[]

I don't want to be a Gaiden hero![]

A gaiden novel "I don't want to be a hero!" Is posted on Takumi Yoshino's homepage  . According to the author, it has nothing to do with the main story. There are places where the character settings are very different, and there are places where they are not so different.

The main character is Sail, who was the general of Chandris in the main story of Rain. The stage is also Chandris.

Cheers to the princess[]

The main characters are Ark, who was Leifang's general in the Rain series, Feliz, who was an assistant to the general, and Kay, who was a warrior. The stage is not Mürgenia, but according to the question, Yoshino says, "The super-civilization has prospered in the past, and as a result of the devastation after World War II, the times have gone backwards." However, it is not completely unrelated to the Rain series. This is because the arcs appearing in the rain series have almost the same character settings as the arcs appearing in "Cheers for the Princess".

Character[]

Main character. commoner. A mercenary rising general of Saint Quar. He is 25 years old, but his appearance and his body have stopped at 18 years old. The castle owner of Klairs Castle. He is a self-proclaimed "prodigy," "Gale Rain," "the strongest man in the world," and "Phantom Thief Black Mask." He has two names: "Unknown Genius Swordfighter", "Unknown Genius", or "Dragon Slayer". In addition, since the name of "Dragon Slayer" was hardly known until Rain revealed it in the main story, "Unknown Genius Swordfighter" is more famous, and even after it was revealed, he had never seen his ability, and that Almost no one who just heard the rumors (or was advised "maybe") believes.

He is always dressed in black and does not wear any armor or other armor during battles. According to Hawk, he is "a type that attracts women of all ages," and Ralfas is "a man who can easily connect with women." He now has the infamous magic sword, the Sword of the Land. Although he looks like a bluff, he is quite a tactician and has a gentle side. In the main story, he sleeps once every few days, and at night he trains all night so that people around him do not get caught. It seems that the constitution of Dragon Slayer makes such unreasonable. Only a few people in the castle, including Shelfa, know them. A kind of self-suggestion allows you to sleep and wake up in an instant, and you can't sleep right after you wake up.

He began his journey at the age of 15 and challenged famous mercenaries and knights while crushing bandits (Rain as a boy killed bandits and gorotsuki). When he fought Hawk, he started to hold the sword and won in less than half a year (it seems that he had been practicing while sleeping), and in the same year he defeated Sylvia while being forced into inferiority and learned magic from her. .. Her ability is so great that she incorporates Rain's attack magic.

At the age of 18, he defeated the dragon (old dragon) while suffering a dying serious injury, and inherited the immortality, physical strength, muscular strength, magical power, and special abilities (anti-magic field, etc.) of the dragon. Still, his physical age is 18 years old. It was decided to stop forever. He made an old dragon and said that he was an exception to humans because of his ability. He seems to have fought and won over many other demons such as demons, soul eaters, and berserkers who got lost in the demon world. He has terrible tone deafness, but he seems to think he is good, and he sings well without worrying about his eyes. He likes black tea from Fanuge. It is said that even a little dragon will die if you drink it. It is okay to drink a mixture of Baraiso's death liquor 30 times the amount used for normal murder (per cup) It doesn't break, and I'm still in the usual physical condition). He has a dark past.

Abilities[]

Legend of Dragon Slayer:

  • Rain defeated the dragon (old dragon) while suffering a dying serious injury, and inherited the immortality, physical strength, muscular strength, magical power, and special abilities (anti-magic field, etc.) of the dragon. Still, his physical age is 18 years old. It was decided to stop forever. He made an old dragon and said that he was an exception to humans because of his ability. Rain had an immense amount of magic and was capable of grasping the basics very quickly with only a few instructions from Sylvia. After he defeated a dragon he gained even more power and the ability to cast magic without chanting.
  • A legend that gives the ability of the old dragon to the one who defeated the strongest demon beast old dragon by himself. However, since the opponent can use the anti-magic field and magic without casting, the magic attack can only be applied to the owner of magical power beyond the old dragon. Also, it is extremely difficult to even get close to being blown away by Exceed to make a physical attack. Even if you bring it closer, you cannot injure it with a normal weapon. Furthermore, even with an ordinary magic sword, only a small wound can be made from the viewpoint of the body. Therefore, it was said that there was no dragon slayer in the world. Currently, there are two people, Rain and Alisa.

Exceed: It is an ability that only humans have and is said to be something like "Ki" in this volume. Rain used this to improve his strength, but his detailed abilities have not yet been revealed. However, it takes a lot of training to be able to use it, and only a handful of people can use it. It has the same ability as the demons.

The sword of the country [Sword of Matchless Beauty]: A cursed magic sword that is said to have destroyed Celestia in ancient times. According to Sylvia, there is an inscription, but it has not been transmitted yet. After that, it was sealed in an ancient ruin in the depths of the forest of Mt. Derad. This magic sword does not even function as a magic sword unless the user has considerable ability. Furthermore, he chooses the Lord himself, and if he is not chosen, he automatically transfers to the Lord and returns. It can also be intentionally transferred to the user of the sword. The sword can be extended to some extent to the length desired by the sword user (up to about 3 meters in the work). By absorbing power from the sword's lord, you can make a ranged attack (commonly known as an invisible sword), and you can also adjust the power or slip through something in the middle and attack only the target of the attack. Furthermore, it has been granted special abilities to cut through dimensional walls and cross the world. The Runemaster who gave this sword magical power seems to be a top-notch wizard with more power than Rain.
