Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei: Seisankei Majutsu de Na mo Naki Mura wo Saikyou no Jousai Toshi ni (お気楽領主の楽しい領地防衛 ～生産系魔術で名もなき村を最強の城塞都市に～, Fun Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord) is a Japanese light novel series written by Sou Akaike and illustrated by Kururi. It began serialization on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in May 2020. It was later acquired by Overlap who began publishing it under their Overlap Novels imprint in September 2021. A manga adaptation illustrated by Maro Aoiro began serialization on Overlap's Comic Gardo manga service in August 2021.
Synopsis[]
A man reincarnated as an aristocratic boy, Van, grows up to be treated as a child prodigy after all his efforts, but when he is known as the owner of "production magic", he is immediately driven to the lord of a frontier village. However, the sorcery that was called useless is truly out of the standard because it can produce anything as long as you have the materials! With the knowledge of his previous life and cheat magic, a small poor village grows into a huge city――!?

Character[]
Born the fourth son of the Marquise Feltio of the Kingdom of Scuderia, he is the protagonist of this volume and is eight years old at the start of the main timeline of this volume. The marquise valued his aptitude for flame magic, but he was expelled from the marquise when his aptitude for “production magic” was revealed.
He accepts his banishment, partly because it frees him from the bonds of aristocracy. He is happy to work to develop his territory and strengthen its defenses by making full use of his knowledge and production magic. He is well-liked by the people, and his high level of centripetal support can be seen in his personal maid, Till, his butler and teacher, Espada, the vice-commander of the Marquis' knighthood, Dee, and his personal squire, Kamshin.

Van is slightly stronger than his age, he is a martial arts enthusiast who studied judo and karate in his previous life. He can dodge and dive into the opponent's crotch and cut it with my sword as if standing up, so he can hold a light long sword. In close combat, he is stronger than non-combatants and ordinary people who can take advantage of his small physique to fight bandits, adding to his base of knowledge and experience from his previous life, and is capable of competing with the soldiers of the Order. Van is as quick as an adult man because he is quick enough to take advantage of bandits who are accustomed to combat, thanks to Dee the knight that trained by him. In the main story, he and Kamshin double up to defeat an axe-wielding bandit.

The magic of this aptitude itself is not considered important in the Kingdom of Scuderia and tends to be taken lightly.

Van does not transform wood or iron ore into weapons as it is, but uses them for construction after converting them into what is called “processed products." Due to his magical power and knowledge of architecture in his previous life, his magic seems to have achieved results far beyond the public's opinion, and he is able to create weapons and structures at an astonishing rate that are beyond the knowledge and technology of this country.
