Because of this Class of his "Samurai" he can surpass the effect of the cursed weapon he holds or owns, by this Class Shin can enchant a weapon with different elements. The Class weapon is equipment with high abilities and rarity and is assigned a rank: Rare, Unique, Legendary, Mythology, Ancient, and so on. As one gets closer to the ancient class, the difficulty of processing increases in exchange for the ability. Shin is called the "Dark Blacksmith" because he has created and repaired many mythology- and ancient-class equipment imbued with different effects or elements.
He is a skilled swordsman (Samurai), and because of the experience he gets in the game and applies to another world, he can toe-to-toe with every opponent even stronger than him as opposed to gaining instantly identified “to the very best personal course of action” during combat, because of that he can outmatch his opponent. Reception[]
John Oppliger of AnimeNation felt it was similar to other works of the Isekai genre, but that it was "far more personable and approachable" than other series in the genre. He also praised Miwa illustrations, though noted they use a lot of screen tone. Demelza of Anime UK News described the worldbuilding as boring and the lead character and artwork as bland. She also felt that it lacked any new ideas compared to other isekai works.
By February 2023, the novels and manga had a combined circulation of 2.34 million.
