Monster Tamer

Monster Tamer/Master of Monsters (モンスターのご主人様, Monsutā no Goshujinsama) is a Japanese light novel series written by Higure, Minto with illustrated by Napo and is based on the web novels of the same name. The light novel series was adapted into a manga series with illustrations by Sakura, Souichirou and serialized by Web Comic Action, with 3 volumes released as of October 27, 2017.

Monster no Goshujinsama has been published digitally in English as Monster Tamer by J-Novel Club since August 26, 2020.

Synopsis[]

Everyone in a high school is suddenly transported to another world. As they are attacked by monsters they find that some of the students now have superpowers. They organize themselves into two groups. Those without powers are called the Stay Home Group and those with them are called the Exploration Group. On a day where most of the Exploration Group is out, the remaining ones that stay behind start the slaughtering and raping of the Stay Home Group.

Here we meet our protagonist, an average guy with no abilities who had just barely escaped death at the hands of his schoolmates. He ends up far away in a cave on the verge of death, exhausted and wounded when a slime enters the cave and starts eating away at his hand. All he can do is utter, "…please… someone out there… help me…."

All the students of a certain high school were transferred to another world together. Takahiro Mashima, who was caught in a fight between students who gained cheat abilities through teleportation and wandered through a dangerous forest infested with monsters, was saved by a single slime!? It was given the ability to make monsters its vassals! After naming the slime Lily and adding the magical puppet Rose to my family, a few days later, I found the corpse of Miho Mizushima, the most beautiful girl in school, in the woods. Lily, who took Miho Mizushima's corpse into her body, mimics her form.

Personality

Even though Takahiro hates humans, he does not indiscriminately kill them or kill innocent humans. If he does then he will kill them without hesitation. He has shown compassion towards the members of his family worrying for Lily's life while fighting a magical puppet. He has shown some consideration towards the dead and will take responsibility for the actions that he see as wrong.

Takahiro has the cheat ability 【Monster Tamer】 to wake up the seeds of awareness that was originally virtually non-existent inside a monster by coming into contact with his heart. As part being transfer in the new world, Takahiro can later manipulate magic and discovers that he can increase his power when more monsters join his family. As being 【Monster Tamer】 Takahiro can see spirit.

Asarina is a plant-type monster that lives inside Takahiro and is part of his main body it also can regenerate even if it gets cut in half as its part of Takahiro. Being connected and living inside Takahiro Asarina, is a benefit in counter-attack and defense in combat. Since all his monsters are named after flowers.

Takahiro himself for self-defense the weapon was created of Rose a katana, but Takahiro also trained by Shiran in martial arts able to protect his family in danger. His swordsmanship is a very decent that he can able to block and parry attack of his opponent. He also trained himself of body strengthening magic by Gerbera. Takahiro is very cunning and understandable of what happening because of his will to survived he trained himself.

《Tame 1》

Lily (百合)

Lily is the first to join his monster family she is very important to Takahiro as she is his ally, support, and the one he loves also. Lily is the first monster in Takahiro's family which he encountered in a cave. Named after the Lily flower.
Lily shows great consideration and love for Takahiro, she also feels a sense of inferiority towards humans since she "knows" that humans can understand a human the best, and thus a monster like her won't be able to properly relieve all of Takahiro's burdens. A classmate of Takahiro and a member of the colony, sadly she died and was fed to Lily to take her form. Fortunately, her soul still lives within Lily helping her whenever she needs it when Lily learned how to duplicate herself she gains a body of her own. It was hinted at she might have already had feelings for Takahiro before they ended up in another world but wasn't aware of them as also hinted Miho has "enjoyed the embrace" of the person she loves even though Miho herself hasn't done anything to advance her own romance (such as confessing and pursuing her love). In other words, it's implied that Miho has lived Lily's romance from inside the slime's body, and has come to love Takahiro on her own.

ABILITIES
Lily is an outstanding monster, being of the Unique class type of her race. She is good at magic. Her forte is water and wind magic but she can also use basic healing magic. However, Lily is not a strong monster as yet. Inside the forest, comparing only combat abilities, she seems to be at a low rank. Although it does not mean that Lily is just a small fry monster. She has the potential to become Queen Class if she continues eating strong monsters. Being a mimic slime she has the unique ability to mimic. She is capable of transforming into what she eats. By itself, the usage of such a unique ability as a combat ability isn’t very high at first, but with time she can add more techniques to her repertoire as she eats more creatures. She can use any acquired technique anytime regardless of form. Making use of her mimic ability is pretty hard. If a monster with high combat capability is eaten, she can mimic it. But for that, she would have to defeat monsters stronger than her. She also needs her health to be high enough for her to maintain her transformed body. If unconscious or in low health, she reverts back to slime form and will need several days to recover. Slimes don't have a brain, so a downside is if she mimics a creature with a brain, her mental processing is routed through it. If she takes an attack to the head that destroys the brain, while it won't kill her, it will stun her as it takes time for her to switch mental gears back to slime mode. When in slime form she can’t move fast, but stopping enemies with a surprise attack is not difficult. One of her prized techniques is Third-ranked wind magic, manifesting thirty-seven air blades that she can adjust freely at the time of creation. She also is able to shoot water bullets from her body using water magic... Lily can mimic the flame breath ability of the Fire Fang as well as its sense of smell. Rose (薔薇)

Rose is the second monster to be part of Takahiro's family and is of puppet type. She is serious, honest, straightforward, and very loyal to her master. Named after the Rose flower.
When Rose was tamed by Takahiro, she became absolutely loyal to him and values his life as a number one priority. She serves as his guardian and defender by day and craftsman by night. As time went on her appearance becomes more and more human-like to gain attention and affection from her master.

Rose can wield with a decent skill any basic weapon that she can create. She prefers to fight with battle axe-style weapons, but on further journeys, with Takahiro, she can wield every weapon because of the Shiran training. Gerbera (ガーベラ)

An Arachne lives in the forest, the white spider's lower half of the woman's face is well-organized, and far from being a monster, she's even kind. Her face still has the features of a young girl, and if it's just her looks, she's probably not even 20 years old. The only difference is that her eyes are red as if she's wearing colored contacts, but even that doesn't give her a monstrous impression. After the fighting and Takahiro got injured, Arachne takes Takahiro and folds them with white silk, and tastes his blood. But it became linked and tamed by Takahiro and Named after the Gerbera flower. Despite being the oldest age-wise, Gerbera is one of the youngest in terms of mentality, she initially treats Takahiro like a newfound toy, a subject of curiosity. Her manner of speech fits a woman who has lived for a long and has refined manners (such as using warawa / 妾 for I)

Shiran (Silane)

When alive, Takahiro and Shiran bonded a lot during his stay in Charia fort; Shiran taught him swordsmanship and indirectly helped him so that he better comes to terms with his concept of "people". Takahiro also indirectly helped her mature and modified some of the too-idealistic views she had about "heroes". As an undead her personality is still somewhat the same the first piece of meat she ate was a piece of Takahiro; she so was completely entranced by the taste that she acted as if it was addicting to the point that even her manner of eating became sexy.
An elf who rose to the rank of Knight Commander at Fort Charia. After she dies she is resurrected as a mindless zombie. However, she regains her senses after being tamed by Takahiro. By "coincidence" she too shares the name of a flower named Shiran (Silane), so her English name would actually be Orchid.

Fifth to be a part of Takahiro's monster family. Takahiro suffers from an attack in the forest by Shooter vines and a Balloon fox. After Takahiro recover from the attack the Balloon fox came into the nest made by Gerbera. A small rounded fox, this fox is very energetic and sometimes is also very sluggish. Ayame also likes to sit the head of Gerbera and Rose.
