Kyou mo E ni Kaita Mochi ga Umai (今日も絵に描いた餅が美味い) is a Japanese light novel series written by Mochimochi, Mata. Originally published via the novel posting website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in July 2020, the series was later acquired by TO Books, which began publishing the series in print with illustrations by Kururi. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Asuka Baito, began serialization on the Nico Nico-based web manga platform Corona EX in November 2021.

It's fun to be able to materialize anything, and when you're single-mindedly making meat, log houses, and fountains -- bathing with a fluffy monster bird in the fountain, BBQ with a unicorn, traveling in the air on a Pegasus -- before you know it, it's friendly. A fortified city where magical beasts gather will be created!

Abilities[]
Tougo has had a passion to draw only using pencils and notebooks from junior high school until High school, but his family keeps throwing away his art supplies. But despite using a wooden stick, dirt, concrete walls, and rain to draw, his devotion never wanes. He even skips launch to buy art materials for his passion to draw and thanks his teacher that he can keep drawing in his free time.
One day, the 『Painting Magic』 power he possesses causes every drawing he makes to come to life or reconstruct, drastically altering the reality. High school student Tougo is very passionate about art. He is mistaken for a spirit as a result, and dragons that ought to be extinct are resurrected in the new world. The sorcery of Tougo defies the laws of nature and is unknown to mankind.

Because of this magic power, Tougo can create a gateway to his world and to another world.
