Kita no Toride nite (北の砦にて, At the Northern Fort) is a Japanese light novel series written by Mikuni, Tsukasa. Originally published via the novel posting website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in February 2014, the series was later acquired by M Novels f (Futabasha), which began publishing the series in print with illustrations by Souchuu. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Hiiro Akikaze, began serialization on the Niconico-based web manga platform Gaugau Monster in September 2020.
Synopsis[]
Paw pads wrapped in white fur. Fluffiness around the neck. A bushy tail. A rounded figure that was the very definition of furball! ――――A certain Japanese girl had been reincarnated into such a fox cub; Milfiria.
Milfiria was told to watch the house by her mother, as the mother left for the capital. However, unable to bear with the loneliness and deciding to chase her mother to the capital, Milfiria became lost in a fort protected by strong knights.

Character[]
A Japanese girl got a car accident and reincarnated in another world as Milfilia, a snow spirit who takes the form of a fox cub. One day, Mir, who has such memories of her previous life, is suddenly told by her mother to stay at home, but unable to bear the loneliness, she goes down the mountain and arrives at a fort where all the strong and sturdy knights are. Once there, she decides to rest quietly, but is discovered by a one-eyed knight with a large scar on his face.
At first, she was afraid of the knights in the northern Fort, but now she's their best friend. She is the practice of hiding in a circle in the snow. The knights of the Fort are her first friends. While Milfilia is having fun with everyone, there seems to be something going on in the country that involves spirits get missing.
Abilities[]
A Japanese in a previous life, reincarnated as a fox cub of the spirit of snow. She still a child, but when they grow up they become powerful. Milfilia has small portion of her power to control the snow. She can do is to teleport by creating small snows and can moved into her mother position it only seen when her mother is angry and Knight Grail is accused to her being kidnap, now she can teleport to anywhere what she wants by thinking in what place.
She trained her self to transform into human form, because she wants to interact to the Northern Fort Knights that she called his friends, but still incomplete transformation.
