Kenja no Mago (賢者の孫, lit. The Sage's Grandson) is a Japanese light novel series written by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka and illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi. It began serialization online in January 2015 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was acquired by Enterbrain, who have published seven volumes since July 2015 under their Famitsu Bunko imprint.

Thanks to various magic, the human race have been saved from calamity many, many times. Retaining his memories from his previous life, a boy, Shin, was picked up by an old man known to the world as “Magi.”
Shin was brought up by the Magi, who had retired to a secular place in the forest, as his own grandson. With the memories of his past life, he absorbed the Magi’s craft and grew up to be able to develop his own magic.
Then, the grandfather told him he has to become independent when he reaches the age of 15.
“Ah, I forgot to teach him common sense.”
The grandson who has grown beyond the level of normal people, lacked common sense; the common sense of the world. So to learn how to socialize, he goes to Earlshide Kingdom’s Royal Capital to be admitted to Earlshide Advance Magic Academy.

A manga adaptation by Shunsuke Ogata began serialization on Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace Up website from March 2016.

An anime adaptation of the series was announced in September 2017. The anime, which was later confirmed to air on television, is directed by Masafumi Tamura and written by Tatsuya Takahashi, featuring animation by Silver Link and character designs by Yuki Sawairi. The series will premiere in April 2019.
