Character[]

A third-year junior high school student who is super-rational and goes home. He is suddenly sent to another world and ends up fighting alongside girls. He is the third hero (player). Like an adolescent boy, he is interested in girls, but he dislikes humans and prefers to act alone. When I was in the countryside (Kumamoto) before transferring to Tokyo in the winter of 6th grade, I was a mood maker with friends, but for some reason. I hated Tokyo and the people living there he was considered a taciturn man. He treats his companions with honorifics and doesn't try to get involved more than necessary, but he treats people from other worlds and friends from the countryside plainly. He considers Shindo and Hakozaki to be stronger than himself and prioritizes returning them to his original world by clearing the quest.

At first, he hated Torii, saying that he was "a scum who was deceived and tried to kill people", but later when he learned about the situation, he decided on his first impression, and because his dislike of humans comes from homophobia. I think it may be okay to admit Torii, who has nothing in common. He listens to Glenda, who has a lot of life experience and quick thinking. Until Glenda joined, he actively worked on quest clearing and problems in other worlds and even did strategy planning by himself, but he tries not to do anything other than the highest priority, Although he is relied on by his friends, he is also evaluated as a weirdo and heretic. He thinks his life should be of fair value, not equal, and he wants all the scum dead, including himself. In addition, he is aware that he is a "Chuunibyou faces kid" whose sense of justice is different from the ethics of the general public, but he has no real feelings and has no intention of changing his behavior. When a new hero joins after me, the game master asks me to meet them in the original world first.

Personality
  • The beginning of the series portrays Yūsuke as a selfish social outcast. He claims to hate Tokyo and all the people who live there. At the same time, due to his disinterest in real life, he often spends his time playing video games and does not care much about studies or non-existent social relationships. However, Yusuke does not usually express such thoughts, instead, he normally acts like any other average teenager putting on a friendly facade.
  • Despite often being selfish, Yūsuke seems to respect those who work harder than him and are willing to do what he can't/doesn't want to. For instance Iu Shindo and Kusue Hakozaki, in either example Yūsuke respected both of them because they were working harder than him and ultimately do everything to help them.
  • Hakozaki has mentioned that he has a somewhat dark personality, and according to Yuka despite being a "hero" he is quite cruel. This is backed up when to comply with the Game Master's request, he tried to save Yuka from being bullied and destroyed the cell phones of each of the bullies without hesitation and later clarifies that he is willing to hit a woman if necessary. Later, in the luggage arc, Yusuke devised a tactic to kill one of the enemies and psychologically destroy the remaining ones only to make them feel the same anguish and suffering that they had caused.
  • Despite his hatred for people, after killing a person for the first time and learning that it was a real person, Yusuke felt quite traumatized and regretful, but he also seems to have a somewhat twisted perspective on human life, as each one has a different value according to him, and there are people who are so useless that they deserve to die. He's moody, cynical, and borderline misanthropic, but he does mean well, and those who can get past his rough edges will find that he's actually very, very loyal and kind.
  • It's noted that in the other world, Yotsuya becomes a lot more focused and driven, and likewise will do anything necessary to protect someone he deems "important". For example, he instantly dove into murky waters to save Kahvel from drowning, and not only protected Aoiu, but single-mindedly did whatever was necessary to save her island, resulting in both those girls falling in love with him. Kusue and Yuka note that his determination to protect them means he treats those women as special people — traits which make him very attractive to them.

Abilities[]

"I'm just a contrarian. I tend to hate stuff that's popular, and like stuff that's uncool."

Yūsuke Yotsuya

Yusuke grasped the situation in a short time and showed a high level of adaptability. He's clever, but he's a rationalist individualist, and he'll abandon his comrades if they're in danger or don't care about completing the quest. All heroes that are summoned by the game master have bonus traits that similarities to a game that they are almost set as immortals, respawning after they die, if at least one of them survives until the time limit expires.

Every time they summoned a roulette will spin for them and give the heroes a class that the roulette has been pointed. He somehow keeps ending up with the weaker classes, but he's able to compensate with his wits and fighting skill. He has no qualms doing evil things to you if you plan to do evil things to him, his, or the innocent, and is very cunning and ruthless to boot.

He is completely ruthless and has no qualms going as far as premeditated murder to punish those who would harm him or his, as Kamilto found out, to his unending horror and despair. Often times he proves to be quite intelligent and calculating and cold, acting rationally and logically. He is the type of person who is willing to make sacrifices if it means achieving the set objective. This can be shown in episode 3 when Yūsuke is faced with the decision to either save Shindou or complete the objective. He of course choose to complete the objective.

  • Obtained in round 4 (Ch:4) after reaching Chef's 10th rank. Ability to use creature magic to speed up or slow down the cellular metabolism of creatures through direct contact. He can also increase or decrease the persuasiveness of his own words and actions.
    • Example: Commanding: Stop, Increase Metabolism, Interrogation.

Sorcerer (Creature) Rank 7
  • Obtained in round 7 (Ch:64) during Mimic Conquest killing Mimics' body parts. The same set of magic as (Creature) Wizard. Ability to use creature magic to speed up or slow down the cellular metabolism of creatures through direct contact. He can also increase or decrease the persuasiveness of his own words and actions. Example: Hiding presence.

Yotsuya's world-weariness makes him willing to do anything it takes to complete a mission. In his head, he even keeps an ordered ranking of what people he deems most important to survive, with the girls from his school at the top, whoever is needed for a successful mission second, and then himself and other people deemed expendable in decreasing order. He becomes so focused on the mission that Keita once called him a "machine" due to his lack of emotional attachment to any particular method or outcome. That said, he is a step above unscrupulous because there are certainly lines he does not want to cross unless completely out of options, and even if someone "expendable" dies, he will still pay his respects or even mourn them.

Since he can't voice his thoughts well, his intentions get frequently misunderstood, often resulting in leaving him to his own devices while the rest of his party winds up over their head, but he genuinely does put their lives above his own and when push comes to shove, they find themselves relying on his strength and wits.
