Development[]
Unlike most isekai-themed manga and anime where present-day people are transmigrated into other worlds through predicaments, this manga is one of Hasegawa's concepts that involve "multiple adults" being involved.
In October 1992, a riot broke out within Kadokawa Shoten which led to the forming of the Media Works division split from Kadokawa. Under such circumstances, Hasegawa who was with Kadokawa at the time and was known for his popular "Maps" manga began serialization of the series under the title "DaiSword" in the "Monthly Comic Comp" March 1993 issue. The manga went on hiatus from Chapter 20 after the magazine ceased publication with the October 1994 issue.
The series resumed after it was moved to Tokuma Shoten's "Monthly Shonen Captain" magazine from the January 1995 issue, and the title changed to its current name.
