Character[]
The protagonist of this work. In the otome game "Let's Talk About Love with You Where the Cherry Blossoms Fall," she is the villainous noble lady who is condemned by the heroine. She is a half-Japanese, half-Russian born to a Japanese father and a Russian mother, and it is said that she may have blood ties to the Romanov dynasty.
From the moment she was born and became aware of her surroundings, she possessed memories of her previous life, and from the age of two or three, she was looking at encyclopedias and picture books in her father's study to understand the world's circumstances. Upon learning of her family's plight, she discarded the facade of a young girl. Using the funds secured by mortgaging her mansion, she made concentrated investments based on her previous life’s knowledge, resolving the debts of the Far East Group and developing it into the Keika Group.
She is exceptionally beautiful and serves as the face of the Keika Group, earning high support from girls of her generation as a fashion leader. She has appeared in numerous television programs and movies and has even won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her singing ability is also high, with many in the West expecting a future as an opera singer.
In her previous life before being reborn, it is suggested that she worked as an office worker in a so-called black company and died in despair.
She is the villainous noblewoman in the fictional otome game "Let's Talk About Love with You Beneath the Falling Cherry Blossoms." In the game, on September 15, 2008, her fiancé, Teia Eiichi, calls off their engagement, she was betting everything to revive the Keika-in Duke family, but something related to that collapses due to the Lehman Shock, and she attempts to escape from Kansai Airport.
The game does not depict what happens afterward, but the protagonist believes she has died. The protagonist's workplace goes bankrupt due to the Lehman Shock, and to repay her student loans, she works at a black company, but her health deteriorates and she is fired. It is said that she later dies in poverty.
Abilities[]
"Some managed to climb the mountain and bask in the glory, whilst others were swallowed by the raging seas and slipped forever into the depths, whilst devouring all hopes, dreams, and desire, the world continues to silently spin on its axis, as of to mock the people who walk its surface who struggle so hard just to live. No one can resist the all-consuming wake of history. People just say 'These are the times we live in'. To the end, it's 'the times' that are the culprit behind this miserable society. The times are always toying with us, the times are always demanding we live life a certain way. This warped society is merely a pitiful bastard child, the tragic spawn of the tyrant we call 'the times'. In this case, do we have no choice but to resign ourselves? To continue keeping our heads down and continue leading these pseudo lives, bowing to the fate of living in these times? I... I want to defy that destiny. This is... the story of us defying destiny."
― Runa Keikain, Volume 1 chapter 1
She has played "Let's Talk About Love with You Beneath the Falling Cherry Blossoms" extensively after her death, to the point of memorizing the setting materials. Subsequently, she is reincarnated into a world strikingly similar to the game. Thus, despite her appearance, she believes her soul is purely Japanese. Her 20th-century knowledge from her previous life becomes foresight, causing her to struggle. She partly accepts that her downfall in September 2008 is fate, but she cannot forgive others for being caught up in it and strives to help.
Due to her parents being of Romanov blood, she also holds a high rank in the Romanov succession. An alleged case of Imperial Russian Gold. Runa is of (extremely collateral) Romanov blood, and when her connection to the Moonlight Fund and its Swiss Bank Account is discovered, the government of Russia starts snooping around to see if it was being used to launder treasure that had gone missing in 1917.
She is perpetually ranked 4th in the Imperial Capital Learning Academy Quartet. She always makes silly mistakes, which is why she remains in 4th place. The top 1st to 3rd places always score perfectly, and how the rankings are determined is unclear.
She is the Vice President in charge of sales for the TIG Backup System.
She has a high school equivalency qualification. Currently, she is slowly earning credits at Professor Kamibu's university.
She plans to gather the necessary credits for graduation by the middle of high school. In preparation for her family's decline, she is acquiring qualifications that do not have specific requirements.
However, because it's the modern world, the villainess's slow life comes with various struggles, and Runa is confronted by Japanese modern history, contemporary economic history, and the global economy. Her knowledge can be a threat to the economics of the world because of her decision, she will rewrite history and use the money for war.
Runa's body has great physics her memories and reflexes are much sharper than what she had in her previous life. Runa can recall things she knew from her past life quite easily, which it definitely helpful. With this talent of hers, Runa studies politics and economic theory goes beyond the level of genius.
Runa refuses to bail out the Enron expy in part because, while it would be a profitable deal for her, the restructuring plan would lead to mass layoffs while the executives escaped with a golden parachute. Runa may be a ruthless young businesswoman, but she's an honest one and hates crooks.
In the second book, Runa plans a gated community for the rich and plans to ensure that African-Americans and Hispanics aren't invited, since that would disquiet the rich white residents she's looking for.
In the third volume, Runa starts establishing Keika-affiliated PMCs both for her own personal security, and to support the United States' invasion of Afghanistan. She also uses the connection to sell the troops cup noodles and curry, which are far tastier than the usual MREs.
The Infodump at the beginning of the fourth volume explains why, at this point, Keika Holdings is a mess internally. Because of the mix of mergers, purges under the Keika Rules, transfers and consolidations, Runa's wealth is composed of a chaotic confederation of corporate fiefdoms, which lays the stage for the feud with the Koizumi Administration. However, because of this, they also have no real internal controls, allowing Runa to effectively do what she wants without anyone realizing what she's about.
This is part of the "Keika Rules" that Runa employs when she bails out a failing bank or other business. The entire upper management get thrown out on their asses for getting the company into that mess in the first place, and the board hires new managers. If illegal activity is found, she'll zealously prosecute everyone involved. After the Keika Group controls the company in question, the companies will usually have their entire share capital cancelled and immediately issues the same amount of shares to Runa's companies, meaning even the shareholders are purged as well.
The Moonlight Fund is a corporate example. It is established using Japanese money and controlled from Japan, but Runa tries her best to make the public believe it's a private equity fund headquartered in California. It's to the point that when Moonlight Fund announces a tender offer for the Hokkaido Kaitaku Bank, Runa hires an American actor with a law degree as the spokesperson who poses as the Fund's legal counsel, and the press conference is conducted entirely in English.
Runa reigned over the Keika Group as a whole but mostly let the various companies involved manage themselves, unless they were personal projects like the railroads or weren't making a profit for her. However, it's still a ten-trillion-yen conglomerate employing hundreds of thousands of people, and yet the big decisions still need her sign-off - which is a bad thing for a girl who still has to attend elementary school. This was part of the reason (the other part being government pressure) that she took Keika Holdings public and invited other shareholders in to help her oversee the Group.
Keika Group(桂華グループ)A corporate group that Runa effectively leads in the story. It originally stemmed from the "Far East Group" founded by Runa's father. At the time of Runa's birth, it consisted of four core companies: Far East Bank (a second-tier regional bank), Far East Hotel (hospitality industry), Far East Land Development (real estate), and Far East Life (life insurance company). However, it struggled with non-performing loan management due to the collapse of the bubble economy and was effectively absorbed by the "Keika Group" operated by the Keika family (centered around the pharmaceutical company Keika Pharmaceutical). Nevertheless, through a series of stock and foreign exchange transactions initiated by Runa and Ichijo, they cleared the non-performing loans and subsequently rescued and acquired numerous struggling Japanese companies, resulting in a reorganization into a massive corporate group centered around Keika Financial Holdings, a financial holding company. While Runa is effectively the group's leader, she is still a minor and cannot publicly take on the role of manager, so Tachibana and Ichijo serve as nominal managers instead.
《Keika Financial Group》
Keika Group holds many business financial groups in Japan (otome game "Let's Talk About Love with You Where the Cherry Blossoms Fall"), even outside in Japan.
The wife of Hikomaro's family comes from a pharmaceutical company that later became Keika Pharmaceutical. It started with methamphetamine-based stimulants and handles drugs for the Self-Defense Forces and the U.S. military. The inspiration comes from the Inugami family. It became foreign-owned through a strategic partnership with the mega-pharma company Arts Nova. The methamphetamine-based stimulants they handle are inspired by Dai Nippon Sumitomo Pharma's "Hiropon."

Duke Keikain Kiyomaro is the chairman of the board.
The organization is based in the Keika Group's Presidents' Association, and is responsible for overseeing the Keika Group's philanthropy business and support for the aristocracy.
Even after her investments turn her into the world's youngest self-made billionaire, people still think of Runa as just a child and Tachibana and Ichijou as the brains behind her schemes. Since she's the legal owner, people talk over her head and discuss "buttering up a little girl" without realizing she can hear and understand them. And even after no one can question the "Little Queen's" ability or her status as the center of the Keika Group's wealth, there's still a strong feeling that, because she's a child, she has no business on the financial or political battlefield
This work is set in the world of the Otome game "Let's Talk About Love with You at the Cherry Blossom Fall." It depicts a scenario where the Allied forces' Normandy landings failed, and Germany continued to fight until the end, as well as the establishment of the Democratic People's Republic of Northern Japan in Sakhalin, resulting in Japan being a divided nation until shortly after the end of the Cold War. The story takes place in Japan, which has followed a different historical path since World War II.
