Shirokuma Tensei: Mori no Shugoshin ni Natta zo Densetsu (シロクマ転生―森の守護神になったぞ伝説, literally; Polar Bear Reincarnation: The Legend of the Polar Bear that became the Guardian Deity of the Forest) is a Japanese light novel series written by Mishima, Chihiro. Originally published via the novel posting website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in June 2016, the series was later acquired by Hobby Japan, which began publishing the series in print with illustrations by Kururi. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Hiiro Akikaze, began serialization on the Niconico-based web manga platform MFC in September 2017.
Synopsis[]
After dying in a mountain climbing accident, a 28-year-old man finds that he is reincarnated in an alternate world… AS A POLAR BEAR. After taking a PAWS to get acquainted with his new body, the MC soon learns that he can fight better than aKUMA from Street Fighter after he BEARs witness to a beast girl being hunted by the army and gets ARCTICked off.
The question is: is this new life a blessing, or a curse?

Character[]
The main character, Kumakichi Kumada, was climbing Mt. Okuhotaka in the winter, but he accidentally slipped down and lost consciousness. It was.
Initially shocked, he fell in a place where he would have died if he had fallen in a slip accident, and when he decided to live a second life as a polar bear, a subhuman werewolf girl was attacked by a human. I witness the place.
Feeling that humans are bad from the situation, Kumayoshi joins the girl side of the werewolf and helps the girl, but the physical strength as a bear annihilate the human army.
The Werewolf girl who resumed at a later date calls herself Rurutia and worships him as "the guardian deity of the forest" because Kumayoshi's appearance was the same pure white fur as the legend. Kumayoshi will teach Rurutia and her sisters how to live, such as the hunting methods cultivated in this world and the dismantling of beasts.

Kumakichi mimics the move set of Akuma from the Streetfighters game. Being reincarnated as a bear (Polar Bear), he inherits all the traits of being a bear. As part of being a divine beast, Kumakichi has resistance to poison.

Kumakichi animal instinct can instantly identify “the best personal course of action or a weak spot of the opponent” during combat, because of this he always "feels" the optimal flow for himself during battle. His honed beast sense is almost precognition. However, having good hunches is not so good... he always find an opening and not always relying to his durability and always worries or sceptical in every action he did.
