Character[]

The protagonist of this work. A single man in his forties suddenly finds himself transported to a deep forest in another world. In Japan, he was an illustrator and he is 38 years old and is referred to as "husband/Hubby" by those around him. During the transfer, he gained three abilities: a major online shopping site "Shangri-La" that handles everything from groceries to vehicles and heavy machinery, an "Item Box" that has a large capacity and does not experience the passage of time, and a "Trash Bin" that allows him to delete unwanted items within the Item Box.

After being transported to the other world, he aims for a slow life, but the circumstances do not allow for it. He has a serious personality, is friendly, and possesses the patience to continue even tedious tasks without difficulty. To enjoy his slow life in this new world, he sources living supplies and business tools from Shangri-La.

Light Novel Volume 1
  • Suddenly transported to a forest in another world, Ken'ichi, a single man in his forties, realizes he can use modern Japanese online shopping sites. After escaping from the beast-filled forest and entering the nearby town of Dahlia, Ken'ichi makes a living selling miscellaneous goods like clothespins and accessories at a stall, gradually increasing his social interactions. Aiming for a slow life, he uses the funds he has saved to buy a mini-excavator and a chainsaw online to build a log house in the forest.
  • One day, he hears that the caravan of his trading partner, the merchant Marlow, has been attacked by bandits, and his daughter Primura has been kidnapped. Ken'ichi gathers a party of adventurers, primarily friends, by using online shopping to acquire a compound bow, a polycarbonate shield, and a used truck. He uses the mini-excavator to launch a surprise attack on the bandits' hideout, defeating and rescuing about 20 women, including Primura. Among the rescued women is an orphan named Anemone, who has nowhere to go and ends up living with Ken'ichi. Fearing that his notoriety from defeating the bandits will attract the attention of the nobility in Dahlia, Ken'ichi stores the log house in an item box, buys an off-road motorcycle online, and escapes the town with Anemone.
Light Novel Volume 2 - 3
  • Setting up a new home by the lakeside near the town of Astrantia, about 100 km from Dahlia, Ken'ichi begins to live with Myare, who has followed the scent of anemones and bells, and the intruding Primura. He spends relatively leisurely days, collecting herbs in the forest, where he interacts with elves, digging out jewels buried in cliffs, exploring the wide plateau above the cliffs, and exterminating spider monsters that have taken residence in nearby caves.
  • One day, the lady of the lord, having learned of Ken'ichi's abilities, requests him to undertake irrigation canal construction. He completes the work using a power shovel before the deadline, but this attracts the attention of the royal family, leading to a summons for an audience in the royal capital. While waiting for the audience at the royal castle, he entertains Princess Lilith and deals with large rats in the castle's basement and ghosts within the castle. During the audience with the king, he is asked to celebrate Lilith's birthday by gifting an unusually large pearl necklace for this world. Additionally, he is requested by Queen Amaranth to provide a similar gift, and in return, Ken'ichi receives the title of baron and a lakeside territory. When it's time to leave, for some reason, Lilith and Amaranth decide to accompany him.

➠ Spoiler...

In fact, he is one of the few survivors of the earth-born human race who was saved from the destruction of the earth by a meteorite impact as a result of the whim of an ancient elf (Administrator) from another world.

All of the powers granted to Ken'ichi in the series were given to him as part of they efforts to make amends for the trouble they caused as a result of a game.

Although there were quite a few descriptions of him having relations with several heroines in the work, there was never any description of him having children with them, but later it is said that Ken'ichi is an alien, a completely different life form and that Kenichi and the women in the series are human beings on the outside, but on the inside, they are so different that it is said that they are “more different than a human and a beastmen”.

In the final stage of the series, after negotiations with the world administrators (and their representatives), she "Lilith & Primura" underwent physical adjustments that made her more similar to the structure of local women, and she was able to procreate and have a child, but in exchange, procreation with the original Earth woman became impossible (this is because there were only two surviving former Earth humans, including Kenichi, and because the (This is because there are only two surviving former earthlings, including Kenichi, both of whom are male, and both of whom have no attachment to the earth or its women, which they agree to.)

(As a side note, it is said that an elf and Ken'ichi can't have a child even if the aforementioned procedures are taken, as their genetic structures are completely different. If a very special method is used, it is possible to have a child, but in that case, the child will be a clone of the mother elf with only a few characteristics of the father.)
