Character[]

"Now where have I heard that before? Never thought someone who’s supposed to be me would take that shit so seriously. If that’s what the definition of human is, then yeah, I guess I’m not human anymore. Maybe I really am a monster who was born in the abyss. A monster, huh? But— Sure, I might be rejected when I get home. I may not have anywhere to return to now.
But even so, I’m going to keep moving forward. Do you really think this road was such an easy one that I could have traveled this far by deceiving myself? This is how it’s always been. The opponents I’ve faced haven’t been kind enough to wait for me to solve my problems. No matter what doubts or fears I had, my only choice was to turn my resolve into a weapon and push my way forward.
"

Hajime

A 17-year-old high school student and self-confessed otaku. In preparation for her future, she works part-time at her father's company, a game creator, and at her mother's work site, a girl manga artist. He plays video games all night long and always dozes off at school, causing those around him to think he is an unserious student. Most of the male students are hostile to Hajime because of the presence of Kaori, the school's madonna, who worries about him and takes kindly to him. Female students also disliked Hajime because he did not change his attitude toward life even though Kaori was giving him trouble.

He and his classmates are summoned to the other world of Tortoise, but he is branded as "incompetent" by those around him because his vocation is that of a weakest Synergist who is not suited for combat. During training at the Orcus Grand Labyrinth, he used his Synergist abilities to protect his classmates from the behemoths that appeared and held them back alone, but his classmate Hiyama pushed him into an abyss, where he was attacked by a demon and lost his left arm. He survives by discovering divine crystals and divine water with restorative effects in his escape, but is driven to despair both mentally and physically by the unreasonable situation in which he suffers from phantom limb pain due to the loss of his left arm and pain caused by a fierce hunger. However, his unusual obsession with life and his firm will to return to his hometown cause him to reemerge, albeit with a distorted personality. In doing so, he has formed a value system in which he divides the world into "enemies" and "others," and kills any enemy who stands in the way of his purpose and survival.

Immediately after his reemergence, he suffered the pains of hell, repeatedly destroying and regenerating his body with the deadly poison of demon flesh and divine water, while hunting down demons and eating their flesh in order to survive. As a result of the repeated destruction and rebirth of his body, his muscles have developed, his height has increased by more than 10 cm, and his hair has turned white. In addition, when he eats a demon of equal or superior rank to himself, his status increases and he becomes peculiar in that he can take in the demon's abilities. Furthermore, the discovery of "Green Glowstone," "Taur Stone," and "Blastrock" in the labyrinth led to the refining of weapons such as a large revolver pistol and a flash grenade, which he made based on modern weapons.

After winning a rematch against the clawed bear that took his left arm, he begins his search for the Great Labyrinth of Orcus, meeting the sealed Yue at the 50th level. After freeing Yue, he headed for the innermost level, where he defeated Hydra, who was waiting for him there, after a mortal struggle in which he even lost his right eye. There, Hajime learns the truth about the world left behind by Oscar Olks, the liberator of the innermost part of the world, but he does not care about it and uses one of the "Creation magic" he has obtained to create and attach a prosthetic hand for his left arm and a prosthetic eye made from a magic eye stone (he also wears an eye patch to hide his right eye), and sets out with Yue to find a way back to his original world. He sets out on a journey with Yue to find a way to return to his original world.

After falling into the abyss, his mental equilibrium is upset and he undergoes a paradigm shift due to despair and hatred of the unreasonable situation, and his first name changes from "I" to "me." He transforms into a cold-hearted character with an arrogant attitude toward anyone he perceives as an enemy, even his classmates, who he destroys without a trace of mercy. He is a cold-hearted and arrogant person who will destroy anyone, even his classmates, without mercy. However, he is able to avoid falling into a complete outcast because he meets Yue, who is in a similar situation. When he was reawakened, he had abandoned all feelings for Tortoise and his classmates, and he had been uninterested in anything other than returning to Earth and protecting Yue and his friends, but after being told by Aiko that this was a lonely way of life, he gradually regains his kindness, though clumsily. He also values humanity and keeps his promises to the Haurians and goes to help Kaori to let her know that he is alive." He is very protective of Yue, who is "special" to him, and of Sia and the others who have taken a liking to him, and he will not hesitate to use sanctions or coercion to silence anyone who tries to harm them. He is extremely overprotective of Miu, who has unwillingly become his daughter-in-law, to the point that Yue and the others call him a "parental idiot". When she learned that Freid had taken her hostage, she emitted such a murderous rage that everyone present cowered. He has a black history of having been a kitchen wreck in the past.

In the town of Brook, he is targeted by adventurers who want to get their hands on Yue and Shea, but he kills them instantly before they duel, earning him the nickname "Duel Smasher," and together with Yue, a "Crotch Smasher," he is known as the "Smash Lovers" and is feared by adventurers (men). They are feared by adventurers (men). In the town of Ur, he makes great use of Aiko's nickname "Goddess of Fertility" and calls himself "Sword of the Goddess. By the time of the final battle, he is called the "Demon King" for his unmanageable behavior.

A vocation Synergist has the ability to magically manipulate matter to process it and create weapons. At first, as a blacksmith, he could only process minerals, but as a result of his training, he was able to smelt the ground to create pits and outcroppings. After seeing him in battle, Meld Loggins changed his mind about Synergists not being suitable for practical use. In the battle against behemoths, he showed the versatility of the Synergist in battle by holding off behemoths by himself. As mentioned above, eating the flesh of demons in the abyss allows them to acquire the unique abilities of demons. In particular, "Mana Manipulation," which directly manipulates magical power, allows one to handle magic without chanting or using magic circles (an ability normally limited to demons only)." After learning "Mana Manipulation" and "Mineral appraisal," the player is able to create original weapons with the unique abilities of monsters, and from then on, the main focus is on fighting with weapons manufactured with the power of alchemy. After conquering the Great Labyrinth of Orcus, the "Creation Magic," which is the mark of a conqueror, can be used to create artifact-class magical tools and weapons of destruction. Since the aptitude for other divine magic is not high, other divine magic is mainly used to create weapons and equipment. By the time he has broken through all the great labyrinths, he is aware that his skills in alchemy have surpassed Oscar's.

At the beginning, his status was about the same as that of an ordinary person, but after eating the flesh of demons, his status improved to an extraordinary degree, and when he escaped from the Great Orcus Labyrinth, all of his stats were over 10,000 and he had the abilities of many demons, making him so strong that even his strongest classmate Kouki could not keep pace with him.

His main combat style is Gun-Kata with two guns, and he also uses various other artifacts for firepower. He has extremely high marksmanship, using ricocheting bullets to efficiently shoot through enemies and firing all bullets at almost the same time. His physical ability has also been greatly improved, so he can fight back with a certain amount of hand-to-hand combat even when approached. The combat skills he has acquired through his harsh experience in the abyss are very rational, and they have influenced Hajime's thinking as well.

He has not paid attention to favors from women other than Yue, but he gradually changes after he accepts Shea as an important person. He also accepts favors from Kaori and Shizuku, and after he is called "the Demon King," he opens up and declares Tio as an important person as well, effectively declaring a harem. Its membership was further increased later on.

After the final battle, she uses metamorphosis magic to change her hair back to black and her artificial eyes and hands to be as close to human as possible in order to return to her original world. The epilogue closes with her being welcomed back to earth by her parents, but she is not able to settle down after bringing Yue and the others home as her family, and it seems that she has come to know another world.

Abilities[]

In the Great Orcus Labyrinth, Hajime devours numerous powerful Demonic Beasts, manages to survive the lethal process due to the Ambrosia and his iron forged will. As a result, Hajime's constitution was mutated by the magic of the monster, granting him a tremendously high status, even breaking pass the level 100 limit. At the costs of his mutation, he will no longer be considered as human and no longer be afraid at anything anymore.

Level ??? Strength 12150 Vitality 14250 Defense 11870 Agility 14550 Magic 15980 Magic Defense 15980

After continuously devouring many powerful Demonic Beasts and absorbing their powers, by the end of conquering the Orcus Labyrinth, Hajime gained tremendous superhuman physical power that is completely monstrous and inhuman, his base strength being twelve times far superior to Kouki Amanogawa who is Ehit's strongest "hero", surpassing even Tio the strongest dragonborn in her dragon form, able to carry his oversized Pile Bunker or heavy artillery such as Orkan with little effort. Even without resorting to weapons, he can overpower the strongest humans, beastmen, and monsters with pure physical might, blocking a zombified Meld's swordsmanship who was the strongest Knight of Heiligh Kingdom with only one finger, throwing small harmless objects such as sugar cubes with extreme force to knock down knights. When using his true powers, Hajime can easily break bones and strike with enough force to rupture his enemies' internal organs even Humans who were blessed by Ehit with enhanced physical power, such as when Hajime broken almost all of Hiyama's bones and damaging his internal organs severely, as he brutally beat Hiyama up and gripped his neck to lift the latter with only one hand with no efforts.

After continuously devouring many powerful monsters throughout the Great Orcus Labyrinth, Hajime's mana developed to extremely powerful and massive levels, far surpassing Atavists such as Yue, Shea and Tio, all of whom have powerful mana themselves. His original sky blue mana changing to crimson color. When he releases his mana, it's powerful enough to block the immense mana pressure released from Noint, God Apostle, protecting Aiko who was about to fall unconscious. When enraged, he was able to cause all his classmates, who had overpowered cheat abilities to freeze in sheer terror. His mana capacity and regeneration are vast enough for him to operate the "Fenrir" flying craft, which consumes an immense amount of mana to travel between locations.

  • Limit Break - (This skill was gained upon consuming Monster Meat.) Allows the user to temporarily boosts their base stats by three times normal for a limited period of time. But has a risk of leaving the user seriously fatigued after the duration is over. Also, repeated usage of the skill could damage the body of the user.
    • Overload - A skill greater than "Limit Break" - it multiplies the abilities of the user by five times with more damage recoil to the user than the normal Limit Break.
    • Transcendence - A derivate skill of "Limit Break," but unlike it, this skill doesn't increase the stats and abilities of the user, but rather raises the skill level of the user's latent talent to the maximum and granted the wielder an average person’s talent in fields of magic they had no affinity for, making it a skill that only a true master of a craft could acquire. This skill is generally considered hard to get and difficult to use, with normal people probably managing to use it only once in their whole life even after acquiring this skill. But if someone is able to master it, they can reach a godly level in their craft.

Ancient Magic

  • Creation Magic - one of the "Ancient Magic" originating from the "Age of God", which grants control over any object, structure (be it physical or magical), or mineral, allowing the user to shape or transform them in any way they wish. It is the only form of magic that allows the creation of an "Artifact". The true power of this magic is the ability to 'interfere with any inorganic material'. As a Synergist, Hajime has high compatibility with this magic and uses Creation Magic to generate his own supply of special and rare minerals for his equipment such as Taur, Shtar, and even Azanthium without the need to mine for it in locations such as the Orcus Dungeon, Hajime can also use Creation Magic to enchant spells or Skills such as the other Ancient Magics into objects or existing Artifacts to make them stronger.
  • Gravity Magic - One of the "Ancient Magic" originating from the "Age of God", it gives the user control over gravity. The true power of this magic is the ability to 'interfere with the energy of star', and just not gravity. Theoretically, it could also interfere with things like earth veins or terrestrial heat, bedrock, or magma; and it isn’t impossible to use this magic to purposefully generate earthquake or volcano eruption.
  • Spatial Magic - One of the "Ancient Magic" originating from the "Age of God", it allows the user to manipulate the space around themselves, allowing them to either bend or expand the space near them or move themselves to another space or location. The true power of this magic is the ability to 'interfere with the boundary'. Meaning it can allow the user to manipulate anything, like the elimination of race-creature gap, or formulating new boundary to create a spirit world; it's possible to achieve those kinds of things.
  • Restoration Magic - One of the "Ancient Magic" originating from the "Age of God", which allows the user to restore the state of anything to either its previous or original condition. The true power of this magic is the ability to 'interfere with the time', meaning it has the ability to manipulate the time of anything, anyplace, or anyone to a point the user desires to.
  • Spirit Magic - One of the "Ancient Magic" originating from the "Age of God", which allows the user to manipulate the soul of a living being directly. It's possible to revive a living being back from the dead (time restriction applicable), or transfer the soul of a living being from one body to another, or even into a non-physical body as well, practically granting any living being immortality. The true power of this magic is the ability to 'interfere with the negative material possessed by living thing'. To be more specific, this magic could also interfere with things like energy inside the body that was mana, heat, electricity, then thought, consciousness, and memory. Those who have mastery over this magic can even create an artificial consciousness, and allow it to inhabit anybody they wish.
  • Evolution Magic - One of the "Ancient Magic" originating from the "Age of God", which allows the user to enhance or evolve all other forms of power, be it strong or weak. It can work on even other "Ancient Magic" as well, boosting their power and scope. The true power of this magic is the ability to 'interfere with the information about existing things'. This magic enhances or evolves an ability or power by a stage of 1, by interfering with the targets information, and tncreaseingit one-by-one stage. Hajime has used this magic to further improve all his Artifact,s making them all far stronger.
  • Metamorphosis Magic - One of the "Ancient Magic" originating from the "Age of God", which allows a user to remake the form of a normal being and reform them into a different form. Normally, it's used to remake a normal organism and turn it into a monster, or even manipulate the magic stone of a monster and remake them. But the true power of this magic is the ability to 'interfere with any organic material'. Meaning not only animals, but it's also possible to remake plants or intelligent beings, and reform their structure as needed. Even byproducts of organic material, like paper or food, can also be manipulated by this magic. The magic stone which gets created during the process is just a byproduct of the process.
  • Concept Magic - It is a form of "Ancient Magic art" which is a combination of many other ancient magics. The main ability of Concept magic is that allows one to interfere with the laws of the world and impress concepts upon it. By raising up a powerful wish or desire with Spirit Magic and Evolution Magic, it can be raised to a level of a concept before being forcefully materialized with magical power. However, since the user's desire at of the time of use, is used as the base of the magic, to raise up and create the concept, the spell may not remain stable in subsequent uses, thus a single spell can only be used once under most circumstances. However, if the desire is still needed, it can be used more than once, like in the case of Hajime's crystal key which had the concept of "I want to return home" in it, was destroyed by Ehit he was still able to recreate the crystal key again because his desire of wanting to return home was still there. It should be noted however that concept magic requires the user to concentrate on raising up their wish in order to materialize the concept, as such it wouldn't be useful in a battle where the user is under attack. Also, some concepts aren't possible to materialize by the user on their own, for example, Hajime could only make degraded versions of the crystal key without Yue.

Conceptual Magic

  • Deny All Existences - A "Concept magic" created by Hajime, through Evolution magic, which overwrites other's information from "Exist" to "Non-Exist". Hajime combined this with his Transmutation and created several ultra-thin chains that inflict magic on contact. Anything the chains touch will feel excruciating pain, even if they normally wouldn't, and quickly be cut into ever-smaller pieces until nothing is left.

"I'll protect you, and you'll protect me. As long as we watch each other's backs, we'll be stronger than anyone. We'll beat down anyone who stands against us and burst our way out of this shitty world!"

Hajime to Yue

While his intellectual ability in academic studies is average, Hajime has proven himself to be an extremely clever genius in engineering. He has immense scientific knowledge which was self-taught from manga, anime, movies and video games. Hajime's intuition is also extremely accurate and spot on, as he was able to correctly deduce that one of his classmates is purposely responsible for the apparent misfired fireball that led to his fall into the deepest depths of the Orcus Dungeon and the reason being jealousy towards Kaori's infatuation towards himself and would also commit any horrific atrocities to force Kaori to become his sex slave when Hajime warned Aiko about it. He would later be proven correct when Hiyama had assisted Eri in massacring and zombified all the Knights of Heiligh Kingdom and also the death trap for their classmates and even murdered Kaori herself in order to make her his personal undead sex slave, a fact which even the extremely sharp minded Shizuku had noticed only when it was too late.

Hajime is an extremely resourceful and innovative inventor, combining his scientific knowledge learned from countless manga, anime, and movies with his transmutation skill to create various powerful techno-magical weapons and other advanced magic-powered machinery similar to Earth's modern military technology as well as science fiction technology. Hajime has shown to be an extraordinarily talented firearms designer, having managed to make firearms and artillery with unique customizations such as Donner & Schlag break action revolvers designed for mid-air reloading customized with make-shift swing out cylinders to incorporate the greater firepower of swing out revolvers, incorporating shotguns into Oscar's magical prosthetic arm artifact as well as Shea's Drucken War Hammer, modified the new Schlagen anti-material rifle to function as a sniper rifle by mounting a telescopic scope to shoot from long distances, designed Metzelei as a handheld portable Gatling Gun. Hajime is also a self-taught genius in vehicle engineering, having designed Steiff motorcycle, Brise pickup truck, a submarine and most of all Fenrir airship based on science fiction and military technology. Hajime has trained his craftsmanship as a Synergist to uttermost perfection, due to his earliest attempts to create modern firearms which are extremely difficult to create in comparison to swords and armors, eventually succeed after countless trial and error. With unrivaled precision and dexterity in his craftsmanship, Hajime became an outstanding master gunsmith. Combined with Age of God's creation magic, Hajime can create techno-magical artillery of tremendous power. In addition to guns, Hajime can also apply his skills into crafting melee weapons and armours of the highest quality including refining them to be much more powerful as well as perfectly repair ancient artifacts.

《Treasury》
ARSENAL

"Donner" & "Schlag" (ドンナー&シュラーク, Don'nā & Shurāku) - A pair of techno-magical revolvers that serves as Hajime's main weapons. They are 35 cm with a six-shot rotating-style magazine and are from a composite alloy of Taur Stone, Shtar Ore, and Azantium Ore of the highest quality found in the Orcus Labyrinth. When enhanced by the Skill "Lightning Field", it possesses firepower surpassing an Anti-Tank Rifle withers bullets traveling at 3km/s. They can penetrate most high-level Monsters' durability and blast through resilient armor from both the Templar Knights' armors and Kouki Amanogawa's Divine Armor which is the strongest armor artifact in the Heiligh Kingdom. They can also damage bones from the inside when shot Kouki in his kneecaps leaving bullet leads inside unless removing them in an undergo bullet removal surgery. They can easily dispel weak attacks with their muzzles such as Hiyama's fireball and Kouki's attacks. The name of these are based on the German words, "Donner" meaning "Thunder" and "Schlag" meaning "Strike". "Donner" and "Schlag" resemble Colt Python revolvers.

"Schlagen" (シュラーゲン, Shurāgen) - A magnetically accelerated version of an anti-materiel rifle. It had a 3-meter-long barrel and is 10 times stronger than Hajime's handguns, but it lacks a magazine and can only be fired once before having to reload. Hajime is physically resilient and accurate enough to hip-fire the weapon with just one hand despite the massive stopping power. In the manga, it possesses a rectangular barrel that makes it bear a greater resemblance to a railgun, while in the anime it has a more conventional-looking barrel which makes it resemble a Gauss rifle more.

  • "Schlagen AA" (シュラーゲン・A・A, Shurāgen AA) - (AA stands for "Acht Acht", an informal name for the German WW2 anti-tank cannon 88 mm) Electromagnetic Acceleration Large Caliber Sniping Cannon Schlagen AA 88mm. Performance-wise, it's more akin to a hand-held cannon than an anti-material rifle. It is now designed for landing more precise shots, possessing a scope instead of a simple iron sight like the normal Schlagen. Its barrel which has been lengthened to four meters long has a more extensive caliber than the previous version, granting it drastically increased projectile velocity and stopping power.

"Metzelei" (メツェライ, Metsuerai) - A Gatling gun based off a M134 Minigun. It has six barrels that are capable of firing 12,000 30mm caliber rounds a minute. The barrels are made out of a special self-cooling ore, but it still only be fired consecutively for about five minutes before overheating. In addition, it needs a long time to cool before it could use it again.

  • "Metzelei Disaster" (メツェライ・デザストル, Metsuerai Dezasutoru) - A super large electromagnetic acceleration Gatling cannon. Its size was enlarged by two sizes bigger. Furthermore, each of the six barrels consisted of also six barrels within them that were the same size as the barrel of the original Metzelei It fired off seventy-two thousand rounds per minute.
Orkan-hajime
"Orkan" (オルカン, Orukan) - A shoulder-carried rocket and missile launcher based on an M202 Flash Rocket Launcher, but with the addition of a 12-round rotary magazine.
  • "Agni Orkan" (アグニ・オルカン, Aguni Orukan) - An upgraded version of Hajime's previous rocket launcher. Unlike his Orkan, this one was cross-shaped and weighed twice as much. It also had three sets of metal wings jutting out from it that could fire up to 300 micro-missiles.

"Pile Bunker" (パイルバンカー, Pairubankā) - A 2.5 m cannon that can be attached to Hajime's Prosthetic Arm. It had six arms and a stake that could drill through anything. The stakes is made with 4 tons of Azantium, and compressed via Compression Transmutation. It also has anchors to attach against hard enemies. It was later given gravity magic to help increase the power of the stake and had a compact version of the spatial magic spell "Void Fissure" enchanted into it as well, allowing it to pierce through any defenses.

  • "Gatling Pile Bunker" (ガトリング・パイルバンカー, Gatoringu Pairubankā) - Different from the Pile Bunker until now, the loaded pile bunker was two sizes smaller. But its might didn't decrease for even a bit, in a second twenty electromagnetically accelerated shots spiraled forward and the huge and super heavy black pike pulverized the target.
"Alvus" (アルバス, Arubas) - A shotgun that shoots out needles with a wide spread to eviscerate enemies. Instead of using gunpowder, Hajime packed the needles into miniature, disposable Treasure Troves which he’d made using evolution magic. By compressing them to an extremely small space, they shot out with lethal force when released. Furthermore, the needles were coated with a potent poison Hajime had found in the abyss.
"Grentzen" (魔力砲グレンツェン, Maryoku-hō Gurentsu~en) - A weapon that bombards the enemy with mana. It is a black cannon with red accents. Hajime created this weapon based on his experience in the Sunken Ruins of Melusine when he encountered enemies that could only be destroyed with mana. The derivative skills of "Mana Manipulation", "Mana Emission", "Mana Compression", "Remote Manipulation", also "High-Speed Mana Recovery" and its derivative "Mana Source Absorption", all those skills were used as a base and included in the mana cannon. It focused not just on Hajime’s mana but also the mana in the surrounding area, combined with gravity magic so it could compress that mana further. The mana bullets are then enchanted with spirit and evolution magic. The more compressed the mana was, the more the amount of mana of the target would be blown away.
Cross Bits-Hajime
"Cross Bits" (クロス・ビット, Kurosu Bitto) - It has the shape of a large metallic cross which has a middle part just like a round shield with a length of 60 cm and a width of 40 cm. It moves by the same principle as the Unmanned Reconnaissance Planes and their type specializes in attacking. Inside were loaded with gun and rifle bullets, they were operated using the bracelet where seven induction stones were installed. Moreover, the surface was covered with minerals endowed with “Diamond Skin” using creation magic, so they could become strong shields as they reacted on the mana from induction stone. When becoming a shield it becomes a huge flower-like cross. It can also self-destruct when the enemy is distracted by its shooting power and acts like a surprise attack. When four points were united a boxed-type barrier would be formed. It’s not just a simple barrier though, it’s the type that shuts out space itself through spatial magic.
  • "Cross Velt" (クロス・ヴェルト, Kurosu Vueruto) - The successor of the Cross Bit. It is black with red patterns and is two times smaller than the Cross Bits. All of the bullets fired were electromagnetically accelerated, furthermore, all the Cross Velts were loaded with a special bullet named ‘Burst Bullet’, the heads of the Burst Bullet could release multi-stage shockwave concentrated to a single point, which made it easier to penetrate any target.
Magic-powered Flamethrower
"Magic-powered Flamethrower" - A flamethrower made by Hajime that looks like a rifle. It also has Flame ore in tar form inside it and can spray flames of 3,000℃.
Chakram-Hajime
"Chakram" (円月輪, Engetsu/Getsurin) - Metallic rings that are 15 centimeters wide, and are enchanted with"Gale Claw" and "Hide Presence". It has spatial magic within its ring Hajime can shoot through space with a variety of weapons. It can be controlled remotely through a Spirit Stone.
  • "Orestes" (可変式円月輪 オレステス, Kahenshiki en Getsurin Oresutesu) - An upgraded version of his previous chakrams. Initially, The chakrams could only create a gate within its small center, but this new type of chakram had improvement applied in it could separate and with the built-in wire inside, a gate that could be freely changed in size would be made. Depending on the situation, it could also be used as a guillotine by making something pass halfway into the gate and then decreasing the size. Furthermore, they could also redirect a variety of attacks.
"Bola" (ボーラ, Bōra) - Two balls attached by a string to catch opponents. It also makes the opponent float in the air in a fixed space.
Hyperion-Hajime
"Hyperion" (ヒュベリオン, Hyuperion) - The weapon Hajime used to fire the "Light of Condemnation". A pillar of light with a length of 50 m disintegrates whatever it touches. It can be described as a laser beam satellite powered by magic and is a sunlight convergence laser. It is an enormous air-frame lens that converges sunlight, it can also charge itself while inside of the “Treasure Trove” which has heat capacity installed in it. Enormous heat which critically overflowed from the “Treasure Trove” would be discharged through the launching entrance where gravity magic was added in to make it discharge towards the ground. Its biggest feature was the fact that it could still converge the sunlight even while it was nighttime. Its secret was due to Oscar Orcus’s artificial sun which lit up his rooms, which was created through evolution magic, spatial magic, and restoration magic. It has a remote control with an induction stone.
  • "Pulse Hyperion" (バルス・ヒュベリオン, Barusu Hyuperion) - An improved version of Hyperion that had explosively evolved in heat quantity, convergence rate, lasting time, and so on that it couldn't be compared with the previous Hyperion. Using the 'distant viewing stone' loaded on Burst Hyperion, Hajime could even see the figure of people that are far away. Burst Hyperion has a total length of around 5 m.

Compression Furnace - Burst Hyperion was loaded with exclusive “Treasure Trove” that converged and compressed sunlight inside.

"Mirror Bits" (ミラー・ビット, Mirā Bitto) - Bits with an isosceles triangle shape and size around 30 cm They have a crimson gem installed on their surface. The role of the Mirror Bits was to reflect the sunlight convergence laser of Burst Hyperion which was their mother machine. With that, they can exterminate the enemy from every direction. The bits had the word 'mirror' attached to their name, but they weren't reflecting the laser using a mirror but by making use of space distortion. Using that it was also possible to bend the laser in sharp angles. At a glance, it looks like nothing more than a reflection.
"Rose Helios" (ロゼ・ヘリオス, Roze Heriosu) - They were special "Treasure Troves" that stored sunlight which was focused to the utmost limit. It was different from the Treasure Trove that was built internally to shoot lasers, so to speak it was a large-scale heat bomb that made use of the sun’s energy by self-destructing to release all of the stored energy at once. The heat that was continuously converged was liberated and caused a large explosion like a solar flare. (It is installed in Hyperion to increase its firepower.)
  • Solar Bombs - An upgraded version of Rose Helios, that is filled with highly compressed sunlight which was focused to the utmost limit. The heat that was continuously converged was liberated and caused a large explosion like a solar flare. It could easily obliterate space up-to 10 km. (It was used by Hajime to destroy 9 lower levels of Hell.)
"Bel Agartha" (衛星型ベル・アガルタ, Eisei-gata Beru Agaruta) - A satellite artifact in the shape of an octahedron with each side three meters long. It can regenerate the target and revive the dead by shooting down a stream of light imbued with restoration magic from outside the atmosphere. Even if the target is underground or indoors, by using the spider-type golem Arachne’s built—in the gate to send in the light through it, the restoration light could still reach with pinpoint accuracy.
"Delischanors" (デリスァノース, Derisuanōsu) - Spirit magic neutralization Artifacts. If the attack could pass through everything except the target using spirit magic, then he only needed to enchant Schlag using "Soul Reproduction" to create a pseudo-soul in it. Originally this was a 'decoy' artifact that was produced from the assumption that the "Divine Statement" which forced a command on the selected soul on a subconscious level couldn't be defended using Miledi Reisen's artifact, but it was also sufficient to misalign the target of the divine sword, in other words it is something that bestowed a duplicate soul. It obstructed the soul interference from the opponent. By using it in conjunction with a living golem, a pseudo-clone could be created.
"Laobenschiram" (ロブ・レーゲンシルム, Robu Rēgenshirumu) - A target dispersal assault lance, a three-stage assault lance that rotates at high speed with its surface engraved by Sealstone and particular unevenness, that was to say it was a drill. The target that was touched would be pulverized and dispersed as though being dug out.
"Gravity Meteor" (メテオインパクト, Meteoinpakuto) - A large meteorite with approximated size of 900 meters to 1,400 meters. Created by Hajime using different minerals or ores, Hajime could drop it from inside the stratosphere, but even so, the energy from several tons of metal lump free falling had a destructive force that an average explosive couldn't match. It is even possible to drop the mass from space, but if his allies are near they might get caught up in the explosion as well, so Hajime drops it from the stratosphere.
Mechanic Shield-hajime
"Mechanic Shield/Large Shield" (大盾, Ōdate) - A 2 m tall coffin-shaped shield. It was made from a mixture of Taur Stone and Shtar Ore and layered with an outer coating of Azantium. It can be attached to Hajime's Prosthetic Arm and it has a retractable stake that could bury into the ground so that the user would be unmovable when attacked.
"Aideon" (可変式大盾 アイディオン, Kahen-shiki Ōdate Aidion) - An upgraded version of his previous shield. It contained metallic plates within it, that could be rearranged into any shape to defend against attacks from any and all directions. It was comprised of ore that was enchanted with restoration magic, otherwise known as "RRegenstone, as well as Azantium (much like most of Hajime's weapons) and Sealstone, which Hajime had christened this alloy "repellent.” And for extra protection, it had been further enchanted with "Diamond Skin". As a result, it was not only extremely sturdy, but it also deflected magic and mana, and even if something did break through one layer of it, it regenerated fast enough to never be destroyed. It could even repel an Apostle's disintegration attack.
AMMUNITION
Bullets
  • Rubber Bullet (ゴ, ム弾) - Bullets made out of the hide of a Monster. Rubber bullets are not designed to kill, but rather non-lethally injure opponents.
  • Slug - Bullets that are scattered when shot and the power depends on which gun has been used like Donner or Schlagen.
  • Excise Bullet (特殊弾 エグズィス・ブレット, Tokushu-dan Eguzuisu Buretto) - A special bullet that could change places, along with the space around it, to another spatial coordinate. By firing the bullet with electromagnetic acceleration, and then exchanging places with it when it was at its farthest distance away, it enabled the user himself to move in the pseudo realm of electromagnetic acceleration.
  • Area Burst Bullet (特殊弾 バースト・ブレット, Tokushu-dan Bāsuto Buretto) - The heads of the burst bullet could release a multi-stage spatial shockwave concentrated to a single point.
  • Sealing Bullet (特殊弾 シーリング・ブレット, Tokushu-dan Shīringu Buretto) - A special bullet that was coated with the sealing stone, so magic attacks couldn't have any effect on it.
  • Vision Bullet (特殊弾 ヴィズオン・ブレット, Tokushu-dan Vuizuon Buretto) - Illusion projection assistance artifact, By using it in conjunction with Novum Idola, it could launch illusion.
  • Living Bullet (特殊弾 リビング・ブレット, Tokushu-dan Ribingu Buretto) - A special bullet enchanted with metamorphosis magic, and therefore possessed a rudimentary form of sentience, thus making the type of golem. While they didn’t possess full sentience, they could be ordered to recognize and evade any obstacles in their path by their user. Although it wasn't acrobatic enough to do complete U-turns in midair, since they could travel extremely fast from Hajime's guns, being able to make minor adjustments was typically more than enough.
  • Shotgun Shells - Shotgun shells that are designed to be used for shotguns such as Hajime's "Alvus". The shells doesn't contain ordinary gunpowder, but contained poison needles instead.
Grenades
  • "Sonic Grenade" - It was developed from a demon that could emit ultrasonic waves that Hajime met on the 80th level. The demon had a special organ inside its body that generated these sounds to attack. Hajime did not get any special Skills for defeating this monster, but he was able to use its special organ as materials for his new grenade.
  • "Flash Grenade" (閃光手榴弾, Senkō Shuryūdan) - A makeshift grenade made from a specially coated Green Glowstone filled to the brim with mana and powdered Blastrock in the core. It is ignited remotely when Hajime uses his "Lightning Field" Skill to activate it, but any sufficiently powerful electrical charge could also trigger it. As its name implies, it unleashes a blinding flash of light to disorient foes.
  • IN Grenade
"Incendiary Grenades" (焼夷手弾, Shōishuryūdan) - Grenades made by Hajime using transmutation. It is made by using Flamrock, which is designed to release flames that approach 3000°C upon ignition.
  • "Paralyze Grenade" (麻痺手榴弾, Mahi Shuryūdan) - Grenades that detonate in a small radius before dispersing to paralyze all foes in range.
  • "Tear-Gas Grenade" (催涙手榴弾, Sairui Shuryūdan) - A grenade releasing tear gas making it harder for one to breathe.e
  • "Frag Grenade" (破片手榴弾, Hahenteryūdan) - An explosive grenade.
  • "Impact Grenade" (衝撃手榴弾, Shōgeki Shuryūdan) - Bombs unleash from Fernir.
  • Space Explosion Grenade - Grenades that distort space and generate shock waves powerful enough to prevent teleportation.
Ordnance
  • "Custom Made Torpedoes" (魚雷, Gyorai) - Made by Hajime which would be used in Erisen, «Sunken Ruins of Melusine» (one of the Seven Great Labyrinths and is also located underwater). They were enchanted with "Sense Presence" and "Tracking".

Hajime thoroughly painted them so they looked like smiling mischievous sharks.

  • "Squirm Shell" (特殊砲弾 スクワーム・シェル, Tokushu Hōdan Sukuwāmu Sheru) - A shell that could be packed with super small spider-type golem and fired, they would be born inside the body of the enemy and destroy them from inside.
EQUIPMENTS
Demon Eye-hajime
"Demon Eye" (魔眼石, Mame Ishi) - An artificial eye made by Hajime after losing his right eye in the battle against the Hydra. It was made out of Divinity Stone imbued with "Detect Magic" and "Foresight". The Demon Eye couldn't see like his normal eye could instead it could see the flow and strength of mana surrounding a person or object, its color, and the element and "core" of the spell they were trying to activate. And since the Demon Eye was made out of "Divinity Stone", it was constantly giving off a faint blue glow.

The anime version however seems to run on a modified internal combustion engine, as it produces an engine noise similar to a chopper motorcycle and possesses an exhaust system. Speed is adjusted based on the amount of Mana supplied to the engine, so it's much easier to learn and handle than conventional motorcycles that require shifting gears. A special machine is attached to the bottom of Steiff which smooths out the ground before the wheels hit it, thus allowing for a smooth ride. The only drawback it has is that it needs direct "Mana Manipulation" to run, so only a limited number of people can use it. The chassis of the motorcycle is similar to the chopper motorcycles that are popular in North America.

The seat inside are two rows of bench seats, with a capacity of around six people, and has a sunroof on the top. It contains two rear thrusters that are so powerful that they are only meant to be activated during an emergency. It is even equipped with three parachutes (one each on the front, back, and roof) in case of situations where it is free falling in midair. It is also equipped with an air-conditioning system and a mini-fridge. From above, it vaguely resembled a manta ray. The ship's bridge sat near the front of the craft, while the center served as a massive living room of sorts. There was also a residential quarter, and each of the rooms came furnished with its own kitchen and bathroom. It is also equipped with a number of external camera-type crystals called Solid Crystal Displays that were linked to the bridge where one could see everything going on the outside from there. They were crafted out of Sightstone, ore enchanted with Farsight, and Transferstone, ore enchanted with magic that let it display things seen by other objects linked to it.
"Skyboard" (スカイボード, Sukaibōdo) - This artifact is a skyboard, in a manner of speaking. With a shape like a surfing board, it reduced things like air resistance with Spatial Magic and flew in the sky using Gravity Magic. The control was of course using sympathy stone. With the air resistance equal to nothing, the burden to the user's body was extremely small, so it could easily give out a speed of 500 km per hour. It was an improvised item so there was a flaw that the mana consumption was large.
Submarine-hajime
"Magic-powered Submarine" (潜水艇, Sensui-tei) - A submarine created by Hajime because he thought it was necessary for the Sunken Ruins of Melusine. Its appearance varies between versions. The manga version resembles a massive mechanical shark, while the anime version resembles a blend of a military submarine and a twin-broom aircraft. It was used in Gruen Great Volcano as an escape vehicle and it's durable enough to operate in magma. It can also fire customized torpedoes from dorsal and ventral-mounted launchers. It is later imbued with gravity magic to give it the option to function like a hovercraft while it is above the water.

It also has various paralysis and sleeping potions in its feet syringes.
"Grim Reaper" (グリムリーパー, Gurimurīpā) - Hajime's golem army that was designed to look like various animals from Earth. Their bodies were formed from minerals that were even harder than steel. Behind their sharp fangs were gun muzzles, while cannons or missiles were normally attached on their backs or stomach. Their claws could vibrate in super speed, so anything that they touched would be torn apart.
  • "Nemea" (ネメア) - A Lion-type Grim Reaper that possess jaws that are capable of biting off the target along with space itself.

  • "Champion" (チャンピオン, Chanpion) - A Kangaroo-type Grim Reaper that specialized in hand-to-hand combat. Its punches are the same like a strike of a mass of iron.
  • "Grim Turtle" (グリムタートル, Gurimutātoru) - A Turtle-type Grim Reaper that was mainly for base defense. It contains a fixed battery cannon, as well as an array of rockets & missiles throughout its short and stout huge body. It has the most firepower among the Grim Reapers.
  • "Freesia" (フリージア, Furījia) - A humanoid Grim Reaper created by Hajime out of his desire to build a maid robot by repurposing what remained of the robotic body of the artificial intelligence "Mother", and is a combat maid that serves as Rank 10 of the Fleur Knights. Freesia appears as a beautiful woman with a well featured face, pure white hair, and crimson eyes. It is fitted with countless Artifacts inside its body, which include a huge variable shield, Gatling guns, a pile bunker, a small sunlight convergence laser, missiles, a super vibration death scythe with a large caliber shotgun attached, flying all range ordnances, etc. It is actually controlled by Hajime's Arachne golem "Netemp", who is in reality the spirit of the Apostle Noint.
"Super Miledy G" (スーパーミレディG, Sūpā Miredi G) - A gigantic golem that Hajime built to replace the final boss golem in Miledi Reisen's Labyrinth. It has three pairs of wings, two swords that emit flames that are amplified using evolution magic and then compressed with gravity magic, as well as both of them being able to combine together to form a large spear, remote bit weapons equipped with a gate to repel enemy attacks and many other weapons. Whenever it's nearing defeat, it will activate the Skill "Limit Break" and have its Stats boosted by three times, while reducing its size and emitting crimson red particles for visual effects. Hajime was forced to destroy it at the behest of his wives Kaori, Shizuku, and Tio after they were defeated by it in combat in an attempt to clear Miledi's Labyrinth and claim its Ancient Magic. Hajime, however, secretly repaired and upgraded it. It was now equipped with various forms of interchangeable armor that could be deployed from an orbiting satellite. Its gigantic robot mode, for example, was labeled Mark VII, while its original body was Mark V, and its slim body type was Mark VI. Its forms of armor went all the way to Mark XX. It can either operate remotely or with a special controller.
CONCEPT MAGIC ARTIFACTS
"Compass of Eternal Paths" (導越の羅針盤, Shirube Etsu no Rashinban) (Obtained from Haltina Labyrinth) - It uses spirit magic to surmise what the user was wishing for, then by using spatial magic, it ignores the spatial gap and distance and searches for the target, it seems that the compass uses evolution magic to supplement the information of the target. All of those functions couldn’t be accomplished using the Age of Gods' magic without concept magic.
Crystal Key-Hajime
"Crystal Key" (クリスタルキー, Kurisutarukī) - A concept magic artifact, made of the Divinity Stone and other rare materials, that looked antique with its crystal form that had a complicated and delicate pattern and twelve exact sides―the ‘Crystal Key’. It is like the Gate Key, but it can open a door to any desired place, even if it is in another world. It is later imbued with Gravity Magic so that it can be used remotely while in mid-air.
Deny All Existences (全ての存在を否定する, Subete no Sonzai o Hitei Suru) - Concept magic that, through evolution magic, overwrites other's information from "Exist" to "Non-Exist" and fills it into thin thread-like chains created with "Transmutation". Everything that is touched by the chain will be erased and feel great agony and pain even if the target should not feel any pain.
"Godslayer Dagger" (神越の短剣, Shinkoshi no Tanken) (Obtained from Miledi Reisen) - its blade length reaches about 20 cm. It was a simple two-bladed sword without a handle guard, it resembled the type of short sword that was called a dirk. It was a 'god killing' concept artifact. It seemed the Liberators lost their temper because they couldn't really create the trump card, so all of them drank a lot in desperation. In the end, when they were all stone drunk they opened a tournament to swear at Ehit with foul language and that concept got created. Things like official stance or reasoning or mission, those kinds of idle thoughts weren't included at all in the concept, only the feeling of 'Die Ehit, you shitty bastard' makes up the concept, so it won't affect anything else other than Ehit.
"Grasp Gloria" (永久機関 グラスプ・グローリア, Towa Kikan Gurasupu Gurōria) - An artifact that Hajime created at the end of his travels in the Sky Dragon World. It is a perpetual motion machine that converts Negative Sky Dragon energy to positive energy at an efficiency of 100 percent. The artifact is a pseudo-Monarch Dragon Core that has an energy output that is even greater than the genuine article. It is made up of a mix of Sky Cores and regular Dragon Cores compressed to the absolute limit with a piece of Divinity Stone at its center to solve the issue of low energy retention. The circulation performance was exponentially increased with the use of evolution magic so that negative energy could be quickly converted into positive energy. Through the use of gravity magic, a gravity field is generated in the inner core to prevent energy leakage and spatial magic is enchanted on the outer shell to allow only positive energy to be extracted. The infinitely flowing energy that came out of the Orb could not be utilized until Hajime discovered and gained access to the "Element Arrangement Equal Conversion System" that could convert Star Energy into any known form of energy in the Factory World. By using the Orb of Lutria to connect with the Sacred Tree in the Factory World, and using Grasp Gloria along with the hijacked energy conversion system, Hajime was able to completely restore the energy of a planet and gain access to a boundless supply of mana.
《Martial Arts》
Having never received any form of training before being summoned to Tortus and falling into the abyss, Hajime had self-taught himself how to fight. His fighting style has been regarded as the height of rationality, focusing on effectiveness. Hajime trains extremely extensively to incorporate kicks into his fighting style, which he combines with his monstrous superhuman physical prowess and leg enhancement skills, allowing him to overpower his enemies even those who were blessed with superhuman physical abilities without any effort.
  • Gun Kata - This is a martial arts where the user uses firearms to fight.
    • Weaver Stance - Hajime's right arm thrust straight forward and left arm’s elbow slightly bent. His feet, one positioned forward and one backwards. It was the shooting posture, the pose to accurately fire Donner.
    • Ultra-Fast Quick Draw - A technique in which he fires Donner so fast that each round of six bullets had only one gunshot noise accompanying it.
    • Polygon Rebound - A technique in which he correctly calculates all the angles of his shots, so that occasionally his bullets ran into each other and ricocheted off to hit different targets with perfect accuracy.
    • Bounce Shot - A Gun art in which he changes the trajectory of his bullets by hitting them with another bullet to gouge his targets.
    • Pinpoint Shot - A Gun art in which he fires six bullets simultaneously so that they land on the same spot without even a single millimeter of deviation almost at the same time.
  • Shotgun punch - An attack where he uses a shotgun on his prosthetic arm to make his punch stronger.
  • Oscillation Smash/Fracture - An arm thrust at high-speed vibration that is capable of pulverizing a large boulder in a single blow using the prosthetic arm.
  • Pursuit - Magic that allows anything thrown by the user to become a homing object.
  • 108 Harassment Demon king-style - It is one of the harassment styles developed by Hajime after the battle with Ehit in order to deal with problems. There are 108 harassment styles in total, but only a few of them are revealed so far. From his experience in fighting monsters, Hajime has developed unconventional yet effective training methods which he used to train himself for two months after conquering the Orcus Dungeon into a master marksman and hand-to-hand combatant.
Notable Harassments
108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "The Demon Lord is So Red-Like"
  • The metal dust that had invaded the body penetrated inside the blood vessel, shredding the target from inside. If Hajime wanted, he could also use the crow-type artifact "Ornis" as a relay point to adjust the dust using "Convergence Transmutation", making the metal dust inside the body react and give intense pain without killing the target. By the way, the crimson light was optional! The metal dust was clad with crimson light, becoming heavy fog that covered the world. The living organism inside that territory would have the inside of their body within the grasp of the demon king, at the same time their right to live or die was also wrestled away from them.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "Gag Bullet"

  • "Gag Bullet" even though the impact was terrific, by using regeneration magic the target would be able to stand up again in three seconds as though nothing had happened, it was a bullet to make a gag situation in real life.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "Welcome to My Battlefield"

  • (The classmate's naming → You cannot escape from the demon king-sama!) It was a simple harassment done by simply making several hundreds Cross Velts Laying out super wide range space isolation type barrier. The space in a radius of three kilometers around Hajime as well as until the height of three kilometers was completely isolated. It was first used when the illegal agents of a certain country on earth tried to make a move against the returnees. At that time, Shinji and Yoshiki who carelessly entered the range kept yelling? "Let us out~, let us out from here~?" while hitting on the invisible wall.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "Everyone Died Here You Know"

  • With the cooperation of Tio who was the best in using metamorphosis magic, Hajime succeeded in developing the Grim Reaper - Bio Hazard version that he was completely fixated upon. And he released them inside the barrier at that time, so the two's reaction was understandable. The Tyrant was especially popular. To the degree that several people completely lost their SAN value.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "I Won’t Say Just Once, Want To Try Dying No Matter How Many Times?

  • This harassment is carried out with the help of Bel Agartha, where Hajime would kill the target then revive him with Bel Agartha, and then kill him again, repeating this process over and over again until the target surrender himself.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "Peek-a-Demon Lord!"

  • It is a small trick carried out by Hajime using space isolation to completely isolate his presence and amplified his presence within isolated space using Coercion after space Isolation was dispelled. What appeared was a bursting crimson mana with the Hajime grinning widely at the center.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "Maou-san’s Phone Call"

  • Hajime uses Arachnee golems while using telepathy to forcefully make the listener have the experience of something gradually approaching, and amplify their sense of fear using spirit magic.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "From Today You Too Are Haulia"

  • Harassment Hajime uses by using an artifact that reproduces a pseudo “Divine Statement” by applying enchanting spirit magic, which makes its target act chūni for a period of time.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - "Wish Upon a Star"

  • He pounded countless random Meteor Impacts from outside the stratosphere to attack the target mercilessly. The trajectory and speed of the meteors are adjusted using gravity control, turning all of them into a suitable meteor shower before ending with a final super giant meteor. It was said that if a mistake was made, this harassment could even make the planet totally broken.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - “Make a Contract With Me and Become a Magical Girl! (Forced)”

  • It brainwashes a person into thinking that they are a pop star. Hajime first uses it against some government agents that try to spy on him.

108 Harassment Demon Lord-style - “Up, up! 4 km high!"

  • It attaches a rocket to the target and leaves them stranded in the sky while changing their focus into something completely different from before.

While still inexperienced, Hajime possesses incredible artistic skills which he has learnt and developed by handling the illustrations of the game produced by his father’s video game company and helping assist his mother who is a famous shoujo mangaka for five years. Hajime would apply his artistic skills to drafting maps for exploring the Labyrinths on stone tablets, blueprints for his weapons and devices, and even incorporating aesthetic designs in his equipment.

Hajime’s classmates decide to enter the labyrinth again. Hajime and Yue enter a floor where all monsters are infected and psychically controlled by a plant-like monster. Yue is infected; however, one of the monsters Hajime previously ate makes him immune to the infection, allowing him to kill the monster. Later, Yue strips naked to drink Hajime’s blood and seduces him. Several days later they reach the bottom floor and prepare to face the final boss monster.

Hajime and Yue confront the final boss, a giant hydra-like monster with six heads, each capable of a different type of magic and one of which can heal the others. Yue is distracted by the fear inducing hypnosis of a second head and almost eaten, so Hajime snaps her out of it with a kiss. Hajime succeeds in using Schlagen to destroy three heads, including the healing head, and Yue destroys the remaining three with lightning. Before they can relax a surprise seventh head emerges. Hajime is injured protecting Yue and Schlagen is destroyed. Seeing Hajime unconscious Yue drags him to safety and tries to attack with his pistol but is injured. Even unconscious, Hajime hears Yue crying and somehow increases his speed such that he can dodge all attacks. He explodes grenades all around the room, dropping the roof on the head and allowing Yue to kill it for good with lightning. As the final door opens Hajime passes out from exhaustion. Meanwhile, Aiko Hatayama, Hajime’s teacher also summoned as a Hero, argues with the Pope who is insisting they re-enter the labyrinth. The Pope agrees to only send students that volunteer as long as Aiko continues using her fertility magic to support the kingdoms struggling agriculture.

Hajime has his memories forcibly examined by a spell which activates a recording the Maverick left behind. The Maverick introduces himself as Oscar Orcus and for defeating his labyrinth deems Hajime worthy to know the truth of the Maverick/God war. Hajime’s classmates enter the labyrinth and defeat the Behemoth they believe killed Hajime. Oscar grants Hajime his power and memories before disappearing. Hajime realises the Mavericks were actually Liberators and reveals he has inherited Oscars Ancient Creation Magic, allowing him to add magical properties to transmuted objects to create Artefacts. They bury Oscar and Hajime takes his ring which controls a portal to the surface. Hajime decides to conquer all the labyrinths for their Ancient Magics. Over two months Hajime takes advantage of Oscar's treasure, library and workshop to learn as much as he can, crafting weapons and vehicles and outfitting himself with an advanced prosthetic arm and a magical jewel to replace his eye. Yue continues seducing him several times so he gives her a magical ring and warns her that his plans will eventually make them enemies of the Church and their God, Ehit. Shea Haulia, a Rabbit-girl, waits impatiently at the spot Hajime and Yue are supposed to appear. When they arrive Hajime and Yue attempt to ignore her as she is quite annoying. Hajime eventually agrees to listen and she explains her tribe is threatened by monsters, and with her magical ability to predict possible futures she foresaw Hajime would save them. Hajime agrees in exchange for her guiding them to a Great Tree mentioned in Oscar’s library. Arriving at the tribe’s forest Hajime kills several monsters, using an unfortunate Shea as bait. The rabbit-men ask Hajime for training as they are tired of being helpless. Hajime struggles to overcome their natural rabbit-like timidity so he puts them through a merciless training routine of “kill monsters or I'll kill you instead”, turning them into tough monster killers. Shea takes them to the tree which Hajime determines is the entrance to another labyrinth, but a stone slab nearby with slots for rings like Oscars, makes Hajime realise this labyrinth will only open after he has defeated other labyrinths first. The rabbit-men decide to continue training and guard the tree until Hajime returns. Shea, having fallen in love with Hajime, travels with them and Yue is forced to let her after Shea technically won a duel by managing to scratch Yue’s face.

Several of Hajime’s classmates decide to abandon the labyrinth and help Aiko on the farms. Hajime and the girls make it to the bottom of the labyrinth to face the boss, Miledi herself operating a giant robot. After a lengthy battle they succeed in cracking her crystal heart. She uses the last of her energy to wish Hajime luck against Ehit, though Hajime claims he has no intention of defeating Ehit, Miledi assures him he will one day be a God-Killer. However, upon entering the treasure room they find the actual real Miledi’s soul inside a small, cartoonish golem, whom Shea punishes for all the pranks. For completing the labyrinth she gives Hajime her ring, and Yue her Ancient Gravity Magic. She then expels them from the labyrinth through a whirlpool, though Shea drowns as she cannot swim. Hajime brings her back with CPR though tries to drown her again after she wakes up and seizes the chance to violently kiss him. Tired, they find an inn where Shea loudly insists Hajime spend the night taking her virginity. Now publicly humiliated Hajime punishes Shea yet again.

They travel to a nearby farming village, unaware the farms are being visited by Aiko and several classmates, though one classmate, Shimizu, has disappeared. Hajime tries to avoid them but they hear Shea calling him by name. Aiko tearfully confronts him about where he has been but he ignores her. They are confronted by an arrogant Templar Knight who insults Shea, so Hajime severely injures him. His classmates are shocked and scared by his new merciless personality though Aiko swears she will find a way to bring him back. Later, Hajime visits Aiko alone to tell her the truth about the war against the demons. Centuries ago several humans discovered the truth, the God Ehit was not on their side, he was merely controlling the war for his own amusement. These humans became the Liberators to free mortals from Ehit’s tyranny. Unfortunately, Ehit, through the Church, had them labelled heretics and renamed Mavericks. The remaining Liberators built the labyrinths to keep their Ancient Magics safe until someone capable of defeating Ehit came along to claim their powers. Before leaving he also tells her in no uncertain terms that one of his classmates tried to murder him. The next morning Aiko and the students stubbornly insist on helping them search the mountains for the adventurers as Aiko wants to ask more questions about the Liberators.

She describes meeting Shea, the "worthless rabbit" and coming up with ways to torment her for falling in love with Hajime. She also describes her addiction to Hajime-nium, her name for Hajime’s blood. Then, after Shea defeated her in their duel she starts describing her fondly, admiring her skill and determination. Next she describes meeting the annoying Miledi, after which Yue describes feeling an almost sisterly bond with Shea and deciding to protect her. This causes Shea to burst into tears. She also describes meeting Tio, the “scrap dragon” and helpless pervert, as well as her jealousy of Hajime giving Aiko Ambrosia with a kiss and wonders if Hajime might be a sexual sadist, or have a teacher fetish. Next she describes meeting Myu, how seeing her cling to Hajime while insistently exclaiming "Papa, Papa!", had given rise to a desire to have a child with him. Lastly, the diary describes Yue meeting Kaori, the result of which being Yue's overwhelming desire to defeat Kaori and keep Hajime for herself. Yue finally arrives and, upon discovering the girls huddled over her diary, she punishes them - severely. Lastly, diary in-hand, she thoughtfully writes "it is a good day when you can punish the people you care about".

While bathing with Myu, Hajime overhears the ladies in the women’s baths talking. First, the girls demand the story of how Kaori met Hajime. She reveals it was when she saw him defending a grandmother and grandson from thugs, despite still being weak at the time, and she fell in love with his humility and not his strength. Yue jealously labels her a stalker, prompting Kaori to insist upon the details of Yue's first encountering and meeting Hajime. Yue describes being trapped in the crystal, and Hajime almost abandoning her, but then reconsidering after she literally begged him. Shea interrupts with her tale of meeting Hajime after he defeated the labyrinth, also begging him for help, then being used as bait to hunt monsters. Finally, Tio recounts her story of Hajime trying to kill her by impaling a spike up her anus while in her dragon form. Pushed beyond embarrassment, Hajime tries to stop Myu hearing what the ladies are saying. Kaori wonders how so many weird meetings caused anyone to fall in love with Hajime. As soon as they leave the baths, they resume competing for the harried Hajime.

Meanwhile, Hajime's group (which now includes Kaori, of course) travels the Gruen Desert, where they are attacked by dozens of Sand Worms. After defeating the monsters they rescue a noble by the name of Bize Feuward Zengen, the son of the Duke of Ankaji. Bize is afflicted with a strange condition that overloads his body with mana, and which will eventually kill him. He reveals that Ankaji is in a dire situation, with its water supply poisoned or tainted, such that the inhabitants have begun to exhibit symptoms of the same "mana overload" ailment afflicting Bize. Hajime and the girls soon decide to help the Anjaki residents. Meanwhile, General Freid of the Demon Army is informed first of Cattleya's death at Hajime's hand, then of the destruction of the monster army - also at Hajime's hand. Before the volcano is sealed, Hajime instructs Tio (owing to her Dragon talents) to quickly escape to rejoin Kaori and Myu in Ankaji, while he and the others look for another exit. Meanwhile, at the palace, Shizuku is informed by princess Liliana that the King intends to brand Hajime as an heretic for his defiance. Daisuke Hiyama, the student who unbeknownst to the others had intentionally targeted Hajime (resulting in his fall and near death within the labyrinth), is increasingly despondent since Kaori (an object more of lust than any imagined "love") has joined Hajime after confessing her love to him. Meanwhile, another classmate, whose identity is a mystery, reveals that they've known all along that Daisuke had intentionally tried to kill Hajime at Orcus. Picture Drama[]

A one-week limited voice drama will be available on official Twitter immediately after the broadcast of the main story. It will be included as a "Twitter serialized picture drama" as a bonus video in each Blu-ray volume.

Reception[]

The series was the 27th best-selling light novel series in the first half of 2017, with 84,372 copies sold.

Rebecca Silverman of Anime News Network enjoyed the series, praising it for its central premise and how it was "good twist on the genre conventions" by making its hero have to work for his overpowered hero status instead of immediately gaining it like many light novel protagonists. She praised the series for its depiction of the romantic relationship between Hajime and Yue, which she called "healthy", and also felt that the translation wasn't as good as some of J-Novel Club's other releases.

The anime adaptation was subjected to extremely sharp and negative criticism. Christopher Farris of the Anime News Network, cited manufacturing issues as the main causes of the series's failure. Farris points to the poor quality of the animation and the first episode missing most of the original source of the original novel
